I'm new to this community and lets just say I'm glad the paperwork is finally in. I did all of my paperwork by myself and it took me months just to make sure I had everything in order. I sent my packet in on Aug.16,2018 and got my certified mail receipt back in 4 days. I received my Noa On Aug. 23, 2018. I just hope and pray that the wait times that I see online aren't as bad as they say. Was told by immigration filing a K-3 was not worth the time since processing is actually taking longer than the I- 130. So best of luck Keep me posted on your progress..

K3s are obsolete, and 99.9% of them are closed administratively........keep yourself busy, and wait.......good luck.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Welcome to the club! Make lots of popcorn, because this one isn't over quick. Be sure to fill in your timeline so you can see your estimated approval date based on other users with similar timelines (keep in mind this is just a useful reference point, not a guarantee in any way).

You were told correctly, K3 is a waste of time.

Welcome!

Along with the others have told you.  You should follow this tread its others who have filed the same month as you so you can track.

I filed a k-3 because I'm not using an attorney and it didn't cost any extra.  I figured it wouldn't hurt.   I actually got a letter that my K-3 was cancelled because the beneficiary was receiving benefits by another means before I received my NOA2.  Because the I130 are processing faster the K3 will not be to any benefit.

I submitted i130 at the beginning of Nov 2017. No RFE. i130 approved in late May 2018. Waiting is so hard. I also visited my husband in Nigeria again in May 2018. From end May to middle August waited for NVC to contact us. First week of August NVC contact. It took about 3 to 4 weeks to get all the documents needed and then we submitted the AOS and Civil documents and we submitted a ton of bon a ride evidence again. We submitted 2 bills in both our names water and cable, a picture of a album my mom made as a gift for us, a picture of a wedding shadow box about the size of a small dresser that I made which includes my wedding attire and bible and jewelry from wedding, before wedding pictures, after wedding pictures, random pictures, what's app exported and included 1 page for each month, gift proof from him to me, gift proof from me to him, a wedding card, an anniversary card, a home warranty in our names, a letter from Edward Jones in our names, random travel stuff like luggage tags, my travel itinerary, my flight booking and billing. We submitted my passport and birth certificate and all AOS information. I hope it's enough. Only our civil document was rejected immediately within minutes because it was turned horizontally instead of vertical and we immediately fixed it and resubmitted it. .We did get accepted on ALL our documents within 1 hour! And then case document qualified the next day. Now we wait for appointment and hope we get approved. I wish I had all those things prepared before they sent the NVC online paperwork. And I wish I knew how to upload the documents on to a flash drive and how to upload from a flash drive. These things slowed us down.
