K1 Interview

Looking for some advice regarding the interview.  We received the NVC notice in July.  My fiance completed all required documentation (DS-160, online profile, fees have been paid) but is unable to schedule an interview.  The instructions indicate to schedule the interview using USTravelDocs once the profile is complete.  However, each time it says there are no appointments available.  This has gone on for over a week.  We have both sent emails to USTravelDocs but only get standard automated responses.  I have emailed the NVC via the online form and ACSAlgiers@state.gov.  So far neither has helped.

The phone numbers I am finding for the Embassy or for USTravelDocs are not valid.  I cannot connect and neither can my fiance who is in the country (Algeria).

Any suggestions?

I have emailed all of the following:

support@ustraveldocs.com

support-algeria@ustraveldocs.com

acsalgiers@state.gov

algierspd@state.gov

iv-dvalgiers@state.gov

I either get an automated response that they can't answer Visa questions or that he needs to schedule an interview.....which is know he has to do but can't because the web page says there are none.

I have also submitted the contact form to the NVC, as instructed in one of the many responses I received, via their online form.  Response is still pending from the NVC.

I have tried to contact the Embassy and US Travel Docs by phone but cannot connect with the numbers provided.   I even had my fiance try since he is in the country and they did not work for him either.

This happened to me last year. My Algerian fiance could not find an available appointment. They will update the calendar at some point. You just have to keep looking for an appointment (which is irritating because UStraveldocs locks you out after so many logins). We too emailed the embassy, called and emailed UStraveldocs. After six weeks of checking dates became available.....

My advice is to keep checking.

Ugh.  That just about knocked the wind out of me, Janet.  The NOA1 was in December 2017....this is taking forever and it feels like there is no end in sight.

He is going to check three times a day - morning,  noon and night.  We're going to have to just keep on keeping on.

I know the feeling. I’m sorry. Hopefully yours will not take as long as mine did.

Best wishes....

Janet

My fiance both got an email this morning that they opened up the calendar for available appointments.  When he went in there were 4 available for October and only 5 for November.  We snagged 10/15 - woohoo!
