Hey!

 

I just received an envelope from the embassy some days after my interview.  
I know there's a sealed envelope I'm not allowed to open, and only need to bring with me when I travel to the U.S. I'm not sure if it's the orange/brown envelope or not (the one I was handed by the courier).
Is my passport inside the envelope along with another envelope I'm not allowed to open? I don't wanna open the letter by mistake. 
  
I hope someone can help!

Inside the package there will be (or should be) a larger envelope that says only to be opened by immigration officer or something to that effect. Then your passport should be loose outside of this envelope if that makes sense?

Open the courier envelope. Inside will be your passport loose and a separate envelope with writing all over it saying "to be opened by CBP only" or words to that effect. That's the envelope you cannot open. 

Timeline in brief:

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

Interview: December 6, 2016 London

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

Interview: March 22, 2021 Seattle

Oath: March 22, 2021 COVID-style same-day oath

 

Now a US citizen!
