You can call whenever you want, just so you know. I called every few days and nothing. But when it got to 28 days after they had received the RFE I called and asked why it was taking so long and they said I was then outside of normal processing yikes (more than 7.5 months) so they filed an inquiry. We were approved the next day.

hi everyone, im received noa 1 on feb 7th, received rfe on 9-2, and uscis received our rfe response on oct 12th. im wondering if the september is count in the dates that we have been waiting. if yes, we have been waiting for 8.5 months, then maybe we can call; if it doesn't count, we have wait for 7 months, then i will wait half more month.

thanks!

Once u send ur rfe back in the time starts again. Normally it's 14 to 21 days to receive a response on rfe. Some may take longer due to the nature of the rfe.

IN REGARDS TO WHICH DATE TO USE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

noa1 date is actually they date on ur hard copy. Sadly if u reach the magical 220 day u must wait till 225 to contact Uscis. They use what the new site says. Even if ur paper says X date.

They added 5 days onto everyone’s accepted on NOA1

Thank you very much for your quick reply @BJ & Christine

If I put the question in google that "k1 visa rfe response days", then it says 60 days, and now is going to 80 days or more, which is very scary.

But after read all posts here, it seems most got there nov2 after rfe in less than a month.

Now I feel much better.

Thank you!

Ur time starts from oct 12th. Not the date the rfe was sent to u. Which means u r currently at day 15.

Yes they can take up to as much time as they like. There "60 days" is a generic answer. It normally is quicker then that. Some have had to wait much longer.

Wait for the hardcopy to arrive. You’ll be needing the original rfe letter.

They been waiting way to long for it to show up. If I'm not mistaken it's outside normal time frame for rfe to be delivered.

Maybe to be safe. Call uscis first thing this morning and confirm that just sending in faxed copy will be good enough since hard copy original never showed up.

They will be needing the barcode from the envelope that’s why they need to wait for it. Yeah i guess better to call uscis to ask why it’s taking so long for them to get their rfe hardcopy..  That sucks for the OP.🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Barcode should be on the rfe it's self. Not on envelope

You mean once uscis receives our rfe response they open it and they scan the rfe hardcopy? Aren’t they scanning the barcode envelope?

If u look at the rfe form in the upper right hand corner there's a bar code. That's the bar code associated with your case
