We didn't even get an Rfe. I would have welcomed an RFE gladly, because it's progress. . My fiancé made a thorough submission, we both never been arrested in our lives, never been married , and no kids. I don't know , I think our file is just sitting there collecting dust. 😂 but I don't care, just want to prepare for the worst case scenario anyway, because, it's progressive and realistic.

We got approved on a day 256, with on online inquiry submitted and with absolutely no RFE. I have heard about some other people having exactly the same way, no RFE and approved around a day 255. Hang in there! 🙃

The USCIS has issued a Ruling, effective April 17, 2007, that gives adjudicators flexibility in determining the length of time a petitioner or applicant has to respond to a Request for Evidence (RFE) or a Notice of Intent to Deny (NOID). Currently, the standard deadline for response to an RFE is twelve weeks (84 days). NOIDs must be responded to within thirty days. Under the this regulation, the USCIS will determine how much time should be permitted in any given case, with maximum possible time being what is now the standard response deadline. That is, adjudicators will set deadlines for both RFEs and NOIDs that could be up to twelve weeks in case of RFEs or up to thirty days for NOIDs. No extensions of time are permitted.

I see that, but we already responded to their request, I mean what's so hard to read one piece of paper and tell us if it's approved or not, I mean, come on. Can't they go back to their previous work and checked if those people they had sent an RFE responded yet? I just don't get it.

Hey guys, just asking what's the absolute worst case scenario until approval?

We're on day 233 with zero feedback at all, and he plans on calling the ombudsman/senator/Congress soon

Please tell me what the absolute worst case scenario for a response could be ? Even if let's say it will take another 5 months before an NOA2, but according to your observations on previous months , did it take 9 or 10 or 11 months before an NOA2 since Reciept date? Just would like this information to plan according to the absolute worst case scenario.

Peace and love. 🌼

Here it is 3 years. Just this past month they were approved. Another (https://www.visajourney.com/profile/271458-kba/) 460 days. Same, approved this month.

Well, it actually worked! I received an email and text from USCIS today that they had taken action on our case and checked the old site and we were approved! I will say that there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that our application was just sitting on someone's desk and they forgot about it. Since we were outside of normal processing times for a K1 (after 7.5 months) and I had to argue my way to a tier 2 agent who filed a service claim, amazingly less than 24 hours later after that call we got the approval. I called three times in the past week and asked them to document the call of my inquiry in my account each time. But I'm sure the service inquiry that the tier 2 agent filed was what moved it along. I would definitely recommend doing the same if you are past 7.5 months of them receiving your application. They received our application 234 days ago. Honestly, I don't even care if this process never gets completed now. At least it's going to be much more in our hands to finish it. Thanks all for all the support for all of this time. It's been a LONG 8 months!! I get on a plane in about 5 hours to go to Europe and will see my fiance tomorrow morning. He is in a complete state of shock as I think he had basically resigned himself that this was not going to happen. And he is literally the most optimistic person on earth, but this managed to beat even him down! You have no idea how much your words of encouragement have meant to me for these months. This has been the hardest year of my life (with this process being just a small part of that) and you guys and my fiance and my therapist have all helped so much :) Hoping for better things to come now that this weight is lifted.

OMG, my heart started racing when I just got an email stating that you had updated your timeline!

This is awesome news, congratulations!!!!!!!

We just got approved too!!!!!! Cannot believe it!!! After so long, finally our approval is here (NOA1 15th of Feb)!

We  found out after calling the USCIS just an hour ago. We havent received any email or letter. The old website still says " Request for evidence was received", while the new wesbite has no updates. Our RFE got approved within a 1 week. A tier 2 agent explained that when an RFE is issued, the application is put on hold, however, time still counts. When we received the RFE we were already outside normal processing times, and they are always trying to close older cases first. So when they received our RFE , and since our case was really old, they had to work on it first even though there are other RFEs received earlier. That is , according to this agent, the reason some RFEs are getting approved really fast, while others have to wait longer.

For all of you still waiting to hear something, may the force be with you.. Keep us updated!

Congratulations

u seem to of found out how I did.. neigther site has updated still and we were approved 9days ago

Hi guys, I come for more updates and doubts about our RFE:

So my fiance has not 1 but 3 MIP (minor in possession of alcohol). It's a funny situation because obviously he didn't think an MIP could be something USCIS would care, I got mad, he was laughing because is not like a bad crime and now we are happy again lol.

So he already found the records for these 3 misdemeanors, they are in different cities but same state, so they are all different, we don't have proof of payment for this tickets but we do have the copy of the police records (one is the ticket itself)... is that enough? because that's all he could find after 3 days of trying...

We added in the cover letter, an statement saying that they are all paid and considered closed.

We are planing to send this information back to USCIS next monday.
