Same, I'm 230 days now. No rfe. We're trying to decide whether to contact congressman or wait that notice action within 45days before contacting them.

We have been waiting for 236 days already. They just told us that the security check is pending and there’s no timeframe for that. I’m losing my mind. Don’t know what to do anymore. Do you guys have something in mind? Should we start contacting the senator? What do you guys think?

How is it going for your online inquiry?

They just told us that the security check is pending and that they cant move forward without it. The security check was sent on Sep 9. And they replied on sep 19. Even now it’s still security check pending

Hi guys, so I have more doubts about our RFE,

This is what they asked for about criminal records:

image.png.1b64b5bd22aa74bd378f7b8a784f6661.png

So I checked the form we sent and yes, he forgot to check that box:

image.png.ecb067a27defb91eef1cff8a29ffc660.png

So yesterday he marked on the RFE under the NO option and THEN HE REMEMBERED about a MIP (minor in possession) ticket he got when he was underage (he's 32 now). I wanted to kill him because he didn't even asked me, he just typed that assuming it wouldn't be a big deal.

The ticket got place in the state of Michigan, and it was a small amount we had to pay and that was it. He's been under other security checks (for new works etc) and everything has been right with it... he didn't even remember about it until now now we wonder:

1. Does he have to disclose this information? or it disappeared from his record now that he is an adult?

2. In case he needs to disclose it, can we ask for another RFE letter? Because his suggestion was using white-out over the wrong check and mark YES instead (I swear I don't get how I'm marrying this guy :ranting::lol: ).

3. How can we find this record? what's the name of the document at least? we are doing the research on it today.

Good news are that we already discussed I'll be in charge of all the paperwork related with our marriage until the end of time, but for now the control freak in me is about to have a stroke... white-out over... gosh...

1. Yes he needs to disclose it cus it was alcohol related. Failure to disclose it (could) cause a denial.

You should feel lucky for the rfe. Back in June someone forgot they had charges that were expunged and didn't disclose it. They were instantly denied for failure to disclose it. They are now going thru the cr1 process.

2. It's highly they will not send another rfe. The only way u can get around this is to lie and tell them u never received it. Ask to have it faxed if u can.

3. Go to court where offense occurred and ask for register of case. If he has the case number it will make things a lot simpler.

Yes I am indeed very happy about the RFE, we don't care about time anymore but doing things right... I'm just so mad that he ruined the letter because he "assumed it won't matter" I've been telling him for the past year how delicate the process is and how we need to handle everything the right way... whatever... asking for a new letter saying we never got it it would take a whole month or even more... at this point that's better than nothing but he will call USCIS today to ask about it.

I just found the case number and the name and address of the district court, I love internet I feel like a major stalker haha

That's why I said see if u can get it faxed. That would only take a day or 2 for them to get it to ya. And by then u could have everything in order and waiting to send back certified mail

Oh I see, I thought you mean a whole new mail letter, we don't have a fax but I think we can make it work somewhere, I'll keep you updated about it.

Hello everyone.

Good news. I was finally approved!

I started to cry of happiness after such a long wait it finally pays off with good news.

NOA1 : February 02

RFE NOTICE: August 29

RFE HARDCOPY: September 04

RFE RECEIVED NOTICE: September 17

NOA2 : October 01

Only waited 14 days after my RFE I am so happy for the quick response.

In total waited exactly 8 months. It was the time I actually expected the wait to be.

All other filers who are still waiting hang in there your time will come and the time waited will be so worth it!

My question is , Can you get approve without a mail from uscis stating that they received your RFE? No mail yet to indicate  that our RFE was received , and that’s giving me almost t of concern . 😭😭😡
