They received our RFE on monday and today on friday they already approved us!

Our rfe was about my fiances criminal background and we submitted all the court documents and even drove 3 hours to get to a courthouse in another state. So the officer got a whole bunch of papers from us. I almost feel like he just was like: ok they dont have anything to hide - im good.

 

lmfao, its hard to believe that the officer went through all those pages we sent

I just can’t udberstand how people with criminal backgrounds  providing more information on that could get approved in four days when two people with no criminal background at all are waiting for 22 days for hem to approve the dumbest RFE on earth! Shake my head. I just don’t get it. Awesome way to end the week. Very happy for all of you who got good news this week and can celebrate this weekend. I’ll just continue to cry all weekend. Sigh.

Understandable. Hopefully you will get approved next week :(.

 

I mean there are so many possibilities why it went so fast. First of all i cut out the address and barcode from the envelope that came with the RFE and glued it to our big envelope. Also we didnt send it via expedit because we sent it on a friday and i figured it doesnt matter if it arrives saturday or monday. So another thing could be, ours came right before they picked up every letter on that monday from the mailspace in their office and ours was right on the top. It could also be a very fast working officer. You never know.

Yeah who knows. I mean none of those explanations could come close to explaining such a fast turnaround and why I am apparently just so unlucky! Oh well. I’m very happy for you. I know you were so worried about the RFE.

Yeah weird how it goes sometimes. First worried about hearing nothing and then the RFE...

 

It was so complicated because this one record was all the way in another state and since it was so old the only thing they had was the final disposition (awesome when you drive 3/4 hours for two small papers). They told us we can send an email and get the rest from the archive which would have cost around 100 dollars lol (which would have taken forever too), but we just decided to write something to the officer about what happened and what he got for it (was a juvenile record with 15) and then provided the final dispositions. Glad it worked out.

Don't lose hope on there is always tomorrow too. Saturday's are not a wash... stay positive

They requested another intent to marry letter from the beneficiary, which we included in our original application. Sent back the same day that we received the RFE (my fiancé was here visiting). They received it on September 6. No reply 22 days later.

They received mine on the 5th. Didn’t find out till day 23.. hang in there hard parts over
