Wow, didn’t it used to be 2-3 weeks!?

I thought so! That's why i left it a little while before calling but he said they only received our case today

I got the feeling that 8 weeks is the worst case scenario, just wanted to update anyone trying to plan their next few months!

Hmm, we got our case # the same day that NVC received our approved petition.  But I called later in the evening.

Maybe they're just scaring me! I'm going to leave it until next week to call back anyway

Hey, it's just a generic answer they give you, my fiance was told the same but we got our case number a few days later (idk when extacly but that's when he called). Don't worry:)

Got my RFE and it seems they want an intent to marry letter from my fiancé. I thought this might be what it is. When I submitted it we did it together in one letter and both signed it at the bottom. I only did it this way because it was exactly how it was done in a sample I saw online. Guess that wasn't good enough. We will send that in tonight next day air so they will have it tomorrow. Cannot believe I've waited all this time for this BS!!!

Ugh they are all over the place! The USCIS website processing times says they are working on 2/6/18. So many people have been approved after that and my NOA1 date is 2/15! I am getting super anxious and irritated! Hoping for some approvals for all of us still waiting!

I believe they use that date as a guide... if your date is 2/5 or earlier you can submit a case inquiry for being outside of normal processing times.
