Yes, I just did a few minutes ago on the page. We will see what happens.

Their response(email) will indicate a specific date of when they will respond to you. Most likely a *notice of action on or before their given time..

*RFE or approval

Hi guys! I need your help.

I was reviewing the packet that we sent and checked the I-129F form and we missed one question.

It’s the “Other information about your beneficiary”  #37. “Has your beneficiary ever been in the United States?” We forgot to tick the box.

I’m so worried I might get an rfe. Never been in the states but we were not able to tick no option.

I forgot to tick that box as well, however my fiancé has been to the U.S. and I stated so elsewhere on the form and included copies of his passport stamps, so it was fairly obvious that I just forgot to check yes on that box.  We did not get an RFE for that, but we did get an RFE for missing another box asking about criminal history.  I can't believe I missed either of those, I read and re-read it so many times before sending!  I was so annoyed with myself!  But anyway, just letting you know that I missed it too and didn't receive an RFE for it for what it's worth.

Hello all, I’m new to this page but I’ve been waiting 216 days now and no word. All I have is case was received and then sent to California...

1. Use the tools here in VJ to answer "when I am going to get etc. etc." question. Near your picture there is a link for your timeline. Select it and once you're on the next page near your picture  you will see "follow similar timelines" and it will populate 12 other couples who are near your dates. Scroll down and you will see a "spreadsheet" style page showing all the variables for measurement for when others are getting the same notice of approval or action.  Try it. It really works!

I followed those that were in my group to give me an idea where they were in processing so I could judge if I was ahead or behind.  It's pretty accurate, maybe within a day or so.

If you choose to follow those twelve members then you will get an email every time their status updates.

2. Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline or your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine your Embassy. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Thanks

Getting an RFE is not the end of the Earth. It's an opportunity to get the visa you are after. You complete the information requested and return it to USCIS. USCIS finishes adjudicating your case, typically you're met with an approval. Two to Three week delay only. Not a big deal.

Is it normal, that they update the case status within a few hours to "rfe received"?

I got the notification around 1pm today, that they delivered our response and now i just checked our case status and it already says "rfe received" :o

Thank you, I'll take that - I was hoping she comes here before the winter - well, she will face good old Minnesota winter to start her life here 😎

Make sure you buy a round trip ticket as she is gong to step off the plane, get a splash of that below zero temps and turn right around and go home. I was born their I know.

Yes that’s pretty normal that they update your RFE response to “received” within just a few hours upon receiving it.

Yes you can. The faster the better..

OK thanks

I just made a copy of what I thought is the barcoded Printing label from the last page that says what they want.

I also just emailed rushtranslate.com and they retranslated my fiance's docs to show the divorce on it... I hope it's accepted and prcessed timely... but I have a feeling it won't and they'll make me sweat it out.

Here's the print label I made I erased some of the info from here for privacy

Can the pages be stapled together or not?

Make sure to use the envelope that they sent to you together with the original rfe. Make sure to sign it and dated it.

As long as the divorce decree is translated in english and the translator signed it and dated it you are good to go.

Yes you can..

There was no special place indicated to sign and date it.  Do you mean sign the translated doc or just sign and date everything at the bottom of the pages?
