I feel the same too. I was such a happy person 6 months ago. Now I just feel sad all the time. My fiancé was telling me the other night that everyone keeps asking him when he’s moving to the USA and it’s driving him nuts and causing so much stress. It just feels like you want to crawl in a ball and stretch back out again in a few months if/when this is over.

So sorry to hear that. :cry:We can do this... We have to and we will.. 💪💪💪

Hi All, it’s only 9 days since USCIS received our response on RFE but it feels like there is no end of this process.

We got an easy fix RFE: to send one passport style photo. Guess what? We sent 2 of my fiancé and 2 of me (with written names / surnames and signed) with our Petition and they just lost one photo 😑 So it was their fault but we are still the one who have to wait.

I can’t understand how someone could be so careless 😔 and why it takes so long to approve us.

I have a question: does it mean that “7 months” frame is started again from the day when USCIS received our response on RFE and we are not able to contact with anyone to push this process?

It normally takes 14 to 60 days to get a responce on a rfe. Currently it's takeing about 21 days.

Hi guys! Some of you mentioned that your embassy is backlogged or they are taking couple of months before they schedule an interview. How do you know that? Is this all based on VJ's embassy information or have you called them?

Also, since we are all waiting for our approvals here, do you think we should start preparing for the next step? What is your advice here?

I've been tracking on Juarez Consulate and asking other people from Mexico on forums and FB groups, they all have told me that available interview dates are up to 3-4 months.

Thank you. I’ve read your previous answer, but still have a hope that they will approve us faster 😔

I wish I had as much patience as you did. 🙏🏻

I hope everyone who is still waiting will receive good news asap 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

There is absolutely nothing I can do that's going to make the process faster. And stressing over it won't help me nor my fiancé. I stay chillaxed cus it's the best thing I can do.

Same here but on the other side, my fiance is being asked almost daily when they'll meet me, when I'll be visiting, etc. (We haven't told I'm moving there until having an actual date... because imagine the stress! Few people know we are getting married because same reasons, I can't imagine people asking me about wedding things all day).

Some days are better than others, worst days were after Labor day... watching everyone getting an approval except for us it was really difficult but now we are a little more relax as we understand there still a long line of people waiting... I'm even getting ready for an RFE but who knows what are we getting...

I've been dreaming about all my fears, like I was there to meet his family and no one talked to me and they all looked mad at me... This process really makes you go crazy....

Okay I am literally sick to my stomach to find out that the request for evidence was for a typo in the application. However, the typo was caught as soon as we received our NOA1 in the mail back on February and we called and spoke to an agent to have it fixed, according to the USCIS website it was resolved on March 6th. Well to my surprise we received a request for evidence stating that we need to submit documentary evidence from the courts or official issuing authority to establish the correct name used by the beneficiary as well as the statement explaining the name discrepancy. They also request for any documents that are not in English to be translated. My question for all of you, I am sending a cover letter explaining that the typo was a mistake and the corrected spelling, with supporting documents, of his birth certificate, and a photo copy of his passport.  The birth certificate has been translated in English as well.  Do you all think this is sufficient enough evidence to get approved?

Hey, it's also been 9 days since they received our RFE, too. And we are also Feb 20th new site (I think you are also?)

At least it was an easy fix :( I'm sorry to hear they misplaced the first one.

Please do keep us posted if you hear anything from them.
