Just an update - received notice of an RFE August 30th and received it September 4th. My fiancé missed one box on our form. He mailed it back on September 6th. Just got notice they received it today and that “Our California Service Center will begin working on your case again” lol. Hopefully we hear soon.

Same here. They received our RFE on September 12th. 

 

The waiting begins again... Not sure I am mentally ready for this 😂 hoping for our approvals soon.

Hi everyone, so we received an RFE for forgetting to include a police report from the petitioner`s arrest (the charges were dropped).

Does anyone know if there needs to be any signature or stamp on the arrest? He got it yesterday and there is nothing on it that shows that the document is legit.

His disposition does have a court seal and a signature of the clerk...so im only asking about the police report.

On the rfe it should state what they want. Don't include anymore then what's asked for. But, don't forget to include everything they do ask for. Sign and date rfe. Even if there is no spot for it. Just a safety measure.

As what i have read. You’ll be needing a certified court records in original form(not photocopy)

It will state on rfe if they want original certified copies or photo copy. 

My rfe asked for photo copy of divorce decree. That was it. So that's what I sent.

Thank you! It did ask for a certified final disposition but does not state what exactly they want for the police record. I wish they would also send an example of the documents they need.

Having certified copy will not hurt at all. Only cost $10 extra for it.

This is what we did. Jason signed and dated at the very bottom of the original rfe letter just only to make sure..

Some turn outs were quick 3 days after receiving their response. Some were not(like us).

Hello, guys! I've been a lurker since January but now I'd like to share something with you. I've been complaining to my fiance nonstop since last month because of the wait and I always tell him that I think it's unfair because he wasn't stressing out as much as I did (I'm the beneficiary). You see, I already resigned and was unemployed since August 28. He would only tell me, "Just wait. It will come."

Last Sunday, I went to church and the message was all about faith in waiting. Just like the Chinese Bamboo Tree. Once you plant it, you would only see a bamboo shoot in a year and it stays that way for 5 years. But the bamboo farmers don't complain because it will eventually grow at a rate of 90 feet in six weeks. You see, its roots grow underground in those first 5 years. We just can't see it yet. And beginning that Sunday, I was calm and happier. I didn't check VJ as much and I only prayed and kept myself busy.

And voila, just this morning here in the PH, my fiance got a text from USCIS (around 9pm NY time) that an action has been taken on our case. I was shaking as I checked the old site. And OMG! WE JUST GOT APPROVED! 13 has always been lucky for me. No update on the new site, though.

NOA1 (old site): February 28

NOA1 (new site): March 3

NOA2: September 13

So for those who are still waiting, hang in there. We won't realize the value of the blessing if there was no waiting. All this waiting makes us stronger as a couple. We just have to look at the bigger picture. I just can't wait until I get to hug my love!
