February filer here the 12th to be exact and needing some advice or guidance on what if anything we can do. I called and spoke with a tier 2 officer yesterday and today to receive the same answer that our petition had been placed on hold for evidence since September 5th. However, both officers were unable to see what the request for evidence was. My question for anyone is that has this happened to anyone before? What is the timeframe that USCIS has before they can send an update to the petitioner? What type of RFE's are out there? This is so nerve racking and unfair as i feel that they should have to give you an update by 7 months.

So I was in the exact same situation. My RFE was in draft form from Aug 27th until Sept 8th. The officers couldn't see it because it was not submitted. It was updated on the old website by chance and I called on the following day they were open to have it faxed. I still haven't received it in the mail, but I believe we will be sending our response back tomorrow🤞. the waiting is super hard knowing there is some kind of response.

We were in the same situation too: our RFE draft was generated on

Aug 28th, it was mailed on Sept 7th (they weren’t able to see it before it was mailed). We received faxed copy on Sept 10th and we were told that we could send our response on RFE with faxed copy which we got and we did that. Maybe it depends on what do they ask for, but who knows.

We sent our response on Sept 11th, they received it on Sept 12th and status in app / old web site was changed on the same

day.

Waiting game #2 is officially started again.

Is there literally ANYTHING I can do ? To spark some movement?

I'm Feb 14th(old site) 19th (new site) ( And I'm choosing to go according to the old site date because that's the date the USCIS quotes when we call)   and we called them last week Wednesday and they said our date will be priority this week. I was trying so hard NOT to ask my fiancé to call at all this week. But it's officially day Two Hundred And Eleven.  When we called 3 weeks ago, the lady said there's no notes on our case on anything they are not sure about, and that we should hear from them soon.

Like for the love of god. Is the anything I could do ? Like reverse time and just gotten married at the court house and like just be happily ever together?  LAWD , I'm driving myself and my fiancé crazy with my depression.😂

And literally , if we DO get an RFE I don't know what on earth it would be about, honestly, I'm starting to get anxiety and the zen in me is vastly dissipating.

Like I'm starting to make plans to see him because literally I will go nuts. . VENT VENT VENT VENT VENTY VENTING VENTS! 😂😂😂😂 Oh I'm turning into an old woman .🙌

Wish you all magically get a super fast responses.🌼

It sounds like you are both doing the best that you can by ringing them and trying to ask for information. You and I have the same dates and we only recently heard that we got assigned an RFE. I knew we would get this since around April because I looked through our application and saw that we missed a small question towards the end. If I have heard back then I really do think that your time is near. It sounds like you’ve been extremely patient this whole time, just hold out that patience for a little longer 🤞🏻 (I know this is much easier said than done, though!) I’m on my way to my crappy job that I despise and it also makes me that much more impatient about the whole thing - but we have to think of the bigger picture.

Sending you a virtual hug and hope that you hear something soon! ❤️

Did you try to submit an online inquiry?

No not yet, I am terrified they'll say "we'll give you a response within 30 - 45 days" like they have been doing with everyone who's been submitting online enquiries.

The impromptu calls of checking in every now and then are like more comforting even though they've yielded no results. 🙈

What do you recommend?

Tell your fiancé to do it as soon as possible. That way you’ll be given an update about your case.. that’s the only way you can do as of now. But don’t forget you still have the congressman and you can also contact the senator and the Ombudsman. You already passed the processing time. There’s no more excuse to just sit back and relax..

30-45days is just a standard answer. They can respond to you earlier than that. Don’t you worry.. the only thing that matters when you do the online inquiry is the date of their response...

IN REGARDS TO WHICH DATE TO USE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

noa1 date is actually they date on ur hard copy. Sadly if u reach the magical 220 day u must wait till 225 to contact Uscis. They use what the new site says. Even if ur paper says X date.

They added 5 days onto everyone’s accepted on NOA1

Alright so my fiancé has sent the service request, and it says to expect a reply by October 5th.

Happy we could do something. Thank you @Lucy&Jason and @BJ & Christine for the information.

Now to patiently wait for a response.
