Does it mean that faxed copy of RFE look different from original letter?

Does original (mailed) RFE have any stamps or wet signatures that make difference between two copies?

Anyway, we have to get it first and maybe Tier2 will answer on our questions. But due to previous experience it will be very very difficult 😩 almost impossible

The original is the copy you receive in the mail. Read it carefully and answer with what they are asking for. You don't have to do anymore then what is outlined within the RFE. Sign the RFE and make copies of everything you'll put in the return envelope. These copies will remain yours. Seal the envelope and return to the address that is specified in the RFE. Be sure to send it back so that you can trace it. Be sure your response is returned in the allotted time contained within the RFE.

I’ll definitely ask my fiancé to call them on Monday and hopefully we will get a response from Tier2 who will be willing to fax our RFE

We have no choice - my fiancé is going to visit me and he is leaving on Wednesday so we must get this RFE before he leave 🙏🏻

One more question - if we receive faxed RFE and prepare all requested information can we send our response back immediately? Or we must wait for the mailed RFE?

Maybe original RFE has wet signatures or stamps?

Thank you for your answer in advance!

Send back only the original as that is what is asked for.

Am I to sign the rfe and send it back ? Seeing this fit the first time ....

There is a standing opinion that signing the RFE insures you have complied and agree to what you are returning. Sometimes they ask for it and sometimes they don't. There was a couple not to long ago that didn't sign the RFE and it specifically asked for it. Their case was denied. Stupid YES, but "he who has the gold makes the rules".

So many of us are asking your to sign the RFE just in the event it was asked for or that in the future there wouldn't be a problem. As always, the choice remains yours.

Found out that I got an RFE yesterday. No notifications, just checked the old website. I am really hoping for the fast turnover. I know that an RFE means they are touching your case and all of that, but it still does add to the process a couple weeks. Hopefully, it will be an easy fix.

NOA1 New site Feb 26.

Here on VJ they have created a spreadsheet where couples have added their RFE information and it makes for a good primer while you are waiting for your RFE.

Thank you! Yes, it’s the movement and I hope we will receive a letter soon! It’s so difficult to expect it without knowing the exact date when you will receive the letter and without knowing the reason of RFE.

It’s strange feeling to see that our case status was changed even if it’s RFE.

I need to reduce my stress level too - I’m not able to eat and sleep normally, it’s 5:45 a.m here and I was awake since 3:00 a.m 🙄 I’m like a zombie with this waiting process 🙄

It's an easy process but you need patience. The only thing is, you need to give it :clock:. Don't set your expectations so high that when you hear nothing or it doesn't meet your expectations then you won't be disappointed. Just my opinion.

For those of us from February STILL waiting (ugh), have you thought about what it will be like when your fiancé(e) finally gets here and can’t work and potentially drive or have a real life for another 6+ months? Been thinking about that a lot over the past week as my fiancé has been here and I’ve been at work every day and had my teenage son with us this whole weekend. It’s real life! Real life is something it seems all of us here are hoping for but maybe most of us have not really experienced. Because even when we are finally together it’s going to be a long time until it’s “real” in that the person moving over has to make his or her own life from scratch, and slowly given their lack of ability to work. This has been on my mind because of the added stress it will no doubt cause...on top of this already insanely stressful process! It’s just so much! Anyone else thinking about this while you sit and wait?

My fiancé and I are getting married within a couple of weeks of moving over so I can apply for GC ASAP . I want to work and get a car as soon as I can. I’m really independent and hate having to rely on anyone so I’m working and saving as much as I can right now so I should be ok . I’ve already signed up for volunteer match so I can meet new people and volunteer . Il join the gym try keep as busy as I can . Under no illusions I’ll have good days and bad days but my fiance is worth all of it ❤️

I won’t be sitting on the sofa waiting for him to come home from work to entertain me .I think that’s unfair on him. it’s up to me to get out there.

Yes, it makes sense, thank you for the advice, it’s difficult to follow it (especially when our waiting game was started almost 7 months ago) but I’ll try 🤞🏻

About me. When we were filing our ROC (10 year GC) and depending on which side of the Mississippi River you lived your case would either go to Vermont or California for adjudication. Those who went to California had their GC within 6 months of filing which at the time was the normal processing time. Those from Vermont, like us, we had to wait 14 months before any of us were approve. Now I could B___ch and moan and stomp my feet but it had no baring on USCIS but my feet would sure hurt after stomping for 14 months. So we just went with the flow. I checked CEAC once a week starting when and only when our case was beyond normal published processing time. Was I happy about waiting that long NO. Was there anything I could do, not really. So, it's all about how you approach the process.

Nope IT WILL NOT BE OK. USCIS has the GOLD so they get to make the rules, not your fiancé. So if a couple gets denied because they didn't sign their RFE as stated in the body of the RFE and got DENIED, what makes your fiancé think that what he is doing is not putting your case in jeopardy? :bonk: Oye Vy.
