even on holidays, USCIS works, today we received a letter about the rfe😥
guys, help... how long it takes to deliver the letter , and how long to wait then for answer from USCIS?

I received notice RFE online Saturday morning - official date was Friday on the letter. It was postmarked Monday and I received it in the mail on Thursday and I live in the East Coast.  The good news is that RFE"s for K-1's are pretty quick turn around times.  Mine took less than a week once it was updated on the site that it was received. It can take as long as 60 days but most are resolved much faster than that.  Usually with 2 weeks.

Thanks for offering this valuable information. So what about the driver license? When can be obtained? I know it depends on the state, I am in Arizona and when I sent an email to the Az DOT they told me that my fiance can obtain his driver license as long as he can provide proof of legal presence. So which one of things you have mentioned can proof his legal presence. I know it's kind early to think about this topic now since we haven't received our NOA2 yet, but it's just kept me thinking about it.

Most states will want to see the beneficiary named on a utility bill, bank account or other such documents that shows they have permanent ties to AZ. Work with ADot for additional information.

Yes you file both together and add in the I-131. The fees for the I-765 (EAD-work authorization) and I-131(AP-advance parole for travel) are waived when filed with a pending I-485, so include both of those too. It takes about 60-90 days to receive the EAD/AP combo card, which will allow you to work(along with an SSN) and re-enter the US when traveling abroad while waiting for the green card approval.

Thank you so much!!

Iv been literally full of anxiety today, god knows what’s happening out there and how long will we have to wait to see a change of our status on that page (🤞 approval) , it is the most depressing time. No emails/ notifications/....etc  for the past 6 months apart from the NOA1 notice. I haven’t seen my fiancée for nearly 2 years. This is really killing me. Iv never mentioned anything as such on here but now I can’t hold my emotions anymore  😭

I completely understand. I had our son and he wasn't able to be there for the birth and now my son is here and we are still waiting. My heart is breaking that our lives are in someone else's hands.

Wait. There is more that I forgot to add.

You need all the supporting documents for each form as well, so read the instructions for each one. You can also search here on VJ for what to include with each form if you get stumped. There are also example forms here on VJ you can look at when filling out the forms. They can be helpful.

And here are the details you need about whether or not you need to see a civil surgeon > http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/551080-immunizations-ds-3025-or-i-693/

Well or let’s hope those of us waiting on RFEs (and still potentially weeks/months from apprpval) find out what they want from us!!

We are officials in “200 days club”.

we were told that RFE was generated 08/27 but still nothing: no mail, no changes of case status on both web sites.

it feels like we were forgotten.

Maybe someone knows: the case status is updated on web sites only when they mailed their decision (NOA2 or RFE)?

I originally thought I was a Feb filer, but the new site just pushed me into March. Still, I hope the info can help someone.

129f sent: Feb 22, 2018

NOA1 Old site: Feb 26, 2018

NOA1 New site: March 1, 2018

Approved Aug 31, 2018 according to the new site!

Just waiting for the official NOA2 letter in the mail.

The old site still isn't updated with any new info at all and I didn't receive any notifications from my account there, despite having turned notifications on months ago.

I made an account on the new site and found out our case was approved that way.

Congratulations!! So lucky that you popped on to check! 💞

Sad but true. New Administration new set of rules most especially to immigrants. Loads of security checks and indepth scrutiny to every applicant. I am not blaming the new President for this extra caution for his people but I know he is really cracking down illegal immigrants and has tightened the immigration process months after he started his office.
