Hi everyone. I have a question, how long does it normally take to recieve a hard copy of NOA 2 once you been approved?

I am a little bit worried, because we have only been told that we were approved over the phone with no updates anywhere.

And one more question, does USCIS send our documents to NVC? Or do we have to do anything?

Thanks in advance :)

Don't worry it is the same with me. No updates - only over the phone. It should take 1-2 weeks. And the USCIS sends everything we do nothing at this stage. This site details it out nicely:

IN REGARDS TO WHICH DATE TO USE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

noa1 date is actually they date on ur hard copy. Sadly if u reach the magical 220 day u must wait till 225 to contact Uscis. They use what the new site says. Even if ur paper says X date.

They added 5 days onto everyone’s accepted on NOA1

Ur within normal processing time. No one can do anything as this time for u. Must wait till day 210 before u can call and get assistance.

This is normal for them to start the next month before previous month and months are finished.  As uscis workers work at differant speeds and or case loads are different.

hang in there. U waited this long it should not be much longer now..

I’m very talkative today because at this point I’ve given up and need to vent just talked to a tier 2 officer. He was way nicer than the last lady he told me my case has been worked on as of August 17th so he told me to factor in the holiday weekend my case had only been actively worked on 10 days or so. So next week should be my week. It just seems weird that my case hadn’t been looked at since August 17th

Please guys don't forget to update your timeline whether NOA2 or RFE.  It would really go a long way in helping those who haven't started as well as assisting visa journey.

Some have been very fortunate calling prior to 210 days including myself.

I had a legit reason which gave me access to tier 2 (officer).
