We did not submit anything and that was not a problem. (Got an RFE but for the dumbest thing ever.)

Hey February filers.

I am a newbie here.

I filed the k1 visa on February 06 2018

And recieved an RFE  on August 29 stating that i need to send

  • my passport stamps that i have visited my fiance
  • A written statement of meeting in person
  • Airline tickets of visiting each other
  • Additional evidence that could help uscis determine we have meet within the 2 years

Hopefully i will be gathering all the evidence in these days to recieve a positive answer as soon as possible. Been waiting so long and to recieve a RFE is very SAD :(:(

Any other february filers that recieved an RFE???

Yes there’s a lovely group of us unlucky ones here. I sent mine back yesterday. From what I have read about an RFE just be careful to give them exactly what they are asking for.

It is SO sad to wait so long and then have to wait even longer and still not even know if you’ll get approved. The whole thing just sucks. But in the end there is literally nothing we can do so we just have to suffer through being unlucky while everyone else passes us by. But honestly at least we have heard something and hopefully it will just delay everything a month and that’s it!

OMG... no update on the old or new website, but my fiance told me he got our RFE. I was already thinking we gonna get that, because I knew we didnt submit his criminal records, since the state police didnt send us the backgroundcheck he paid for in november (!).

So he called his courthouse today and we can get atleast that tomorrow, but still need to wait until we hear back from the state police because they want additionally a background check from us too for some reason.

One thing my fiance is wondering about. He got put in juvenile detention with 14, because his mum called the cops when they were arguing and he ran away. He is now 30. Does he need to get something about that too? The problem is this would be like a 4 hour drive just to go to the courthouse there.

Should i make an extra topic for that? Also any tips on submitting the documents they want from the courthouse/policerecord.

Thank you in advance

Also for everyone:

U will need detailed records for what happen that is a misdemeanor or felony. Beleive age has no baring. If it’s a civil infraction no evidence is needed what’s so ever.

noa1 date is actually they date on ur hard copy. Sadly if u reach the magical 220 day u must wait till 225 to contact Uscis. They use what the new site says. Even if ur paper says X date.

Welcome to the club!!!!!

Yes i will deff. just send the information they want with the best evidence to prove our relationship.

I just wish they can reply fast....

Hopefully i will be sending my RFE this week.

I have read that if you send exactly what they request the chances are very high on an approvel!!! 😀 So those are eeally good news.

Well keep me posted if your RFE gets approve soon. Best of luck 👍

We sent our RFE back on Friday 31st and received our first ever app and old site notification that they had received our RFE. So weird, even just to see they had received our RFE, after looking for months and months at the same details that something has changed! Hopefully a couple of weeks now till we get our NOA2.

Feb 2nd old site

Feb 7th new site

just as an FYI, we received the email to say they had received the RFE at 2am uk time.

My fingers and and toes are crossed for all of you who haven’t heard anything yet...the time is near 😊😊😊

Yeesh. 6 weeks is already an arm and a leg of time considering how long we've all waited so far. I'm HOPING not.

And I'll be moving to Connecticut. I heard the best BBQ's are in Texas, 😂 (saw that on the food channel ) , congratulations. 👌

I'm currently in Texas for business... And it's true they do have the best bbq

UPDATE: so i called again today to see if they finally submitted the RFE from 8/27.. still just a draft and the tier 1 said that is very odd and sent me to a tier 2. 4.5 hours later a tier 2 calls me just to tell me they can take as long as they want... thought that was a ridiculous answer and was fed up at that point and asked to speak to a supervisor... She was extremely rude, sounded like she was outside, and less then helpful but she agreed it was too long so she put in a case inquiry... didn't give me a reference # or anything... just said if i don't hear anything by sept 20 call back... BEYOND FRUSTRATED... either the info is there or its not... send the RFE or approve me... I honestly feel like this is payback for the whole debacle with our expedite request and I'm not sure what to do next. I'm not sure if I should bring that up the next time I call or if that will piss them off even more and just deny me for no reason. I feel completely helpless, stuck, and getting more angry with each ridiculous answer I receive.

RFE on hand: Sep 5

Give them only what they asked for.

Did you disclose the juvenile arrest? Im pretty sure they don’t distinguish it from an  arrest as an adult on the application.

Anything which you disclose they are going to want certified court records of the final disposition and you must obtain those from the court house. They will also want the police records as well.

for the case of your juvi matter. That record may not be available because it has been sealed or expunged . If that’s the case and you disclosed it and they ask for documents you will need to obtain a certified letter from the court that the record is not available. They will also then ask for a notarized statement from the petitioner outlining all the events of the arrest, what happened , arresting agency, final disposition, pushinent etc.

the consulate will provide all of this to you at the interview and you should be aware of it prior to then

Still incorrect, sorry... Not sure if you have an old form or something but the question right after it specifies *any* arrest, conviction, fine, etc outside of those previous 3 questions (those first three are just scrutinized more)... and asks for documentation. It is further explained on the I-129f instructions.

I have a really important question that is on my mind always. So my fiance got arrested but it was a totally mistake after he went to trial he has no charges, the case was dismissed because there was no evidence he was guilty, all clean but I said NO to the question if he had been arrested because it was unfair and bad... Do you think I will get and RFE asking information about it? Because he has NO criminal record. Please help me I'm so scared about that part!!!!!!

No this is incorrect info. You do need to submit certified court records (and in some cases more - like police reports) for any criminal arrest or conviction for the USC.

Also for any "charge" even if you were NOT found guilty.
