Should we wait to file the k1 visa??

So my fiancee and I are in the process of putting together our k1 application but I want to visit the US again for Christmas. We would like to plan our wedding but frankly, I just miss her terribly and cannot bear the idea of Christmas without her. My question is: WhileI know it is generally okay to travel while a k1 is pending, would i have a better chance of not looking suspicious if we waited till after I get back to file?

I'm kinda looking for reassurance. this will be my 4th time I the U.S. ( I go every Christmas) for a month or so. If we decide not to go through with the ki1 visa just yet, should I even twll them in engaged or that we are just boyfriendand girlfriend? I want everything to go smoothly but this sort of thing always terrifies me.i have a job back here in the UK THAT ilk be returning  to.

apologies for the essay.

You are free to travel during the process. Having a pending I-129F may increase scrutiny of your ties to return home, but many people do this regularly.

Assuming I read that right that you're from the UK, you can use an ESTA fine...so long as you don't overstay or visit too often (more time outside the US than inside it is suggested), you will likely be fine.

okay, thankyou! yes I use the esta when I travel and I've spent about 4 months in the US over the course of 2 years. It's just the whole engagement thing that worries me this time.

I visited from the U.K. over 40 times before I immigrated, several of those after we got engaged and married and also during the spousal visa process. Not a problem at all. No entry is ever guaranteed except to USCs but having a pending petition is no reason in itself for a visit to be denied.

What kinds of answers did you give when asked your purpose in the US etc.. and what evidence did you present, if you don't mind me asking?

I was never asked for any evidence.

Only once was I questioned beyond the usual “what’s your purpose of coming here?” and “how long are you staying?”. I was always upfront that I was visiting my boyfriend/fiancé/husband.
