Hi there, I’m having the same issue it seems. Can’t find any link to pay for my interview but I have it scheduled for sept 25th. Just a bit concerned I’ve done something wrong...I didn’t choose courier either so does anyone know if I can pay on the day? Eek! Any help would be wonderful.

Did you read the K1 instructions London provides? Verify if these were the steps you did and you were on that green colored page, not the blue one:

After you have attended your medical examination, you should then schedule your visa interview through the Visa Appointment Service website at https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-gb/iv and follow these instructions:

  • Select “I have received a letter from the consular section with instructions to register or schedule a K visa appointment”;
  • Follow the onscreen instructions to register an account;
    • If you have children applying under your case number, you may “add” applicants to your account after you have added your own details.
  • You will be asked to select your delivery method for the return of your passport if your visa application is successful. Delivery to a courier depot is free. If you wish to upgrade to home/office delivery you can pay an additional fee through your account;
  • Pay the MRV application fee;
  • You will then be offered the first available interview date, but you may choose any available date. Note: You may schedule an appointment to take place after the petition expiration date, provided that you bring to your interview a signed letter from your petitioner confirming that you both remain legally free to marry and that you will marry within 90 days of your arrival in the United States.
  • Please go to “Print Instructions” in order to print your courier confirmation page. You must bring this with you on the day of the visa interview.

I did but I accidentally went to the blue page first. When I then went to the green page I went through all the steps but at no point did it bring up a payment option for the MRV fee. I then tried to create an account under a different email address but the DS160 number was already in the system so I have no other options available but to pay at the embassy cashier

So I actually think I had to make a new account after having gone to the blue site first. Used the same e-mail address. Try to get to the main "create account page" for the green site.

I’m just hopeful of paying on the day at the embassy cashier. I had read a previous post about someone who was able to do this. I am trying to get a more concrete answer from the contact desk via email.

If you’ve scheduled a K Visa appointment and haven’t paid for it, then prepare to lose that appointment date as you need to re-register on the iv website!

When you register on the iv (immigrant visa) website (the green one) When you are the page that reads “Sign Up” you will see 6 conditions. You must choose the condition that reads "I have received a letter from the consular section with instructions to register or schedule a K visa appointment."

On the next screen, you MUST make sure you select the option that states you are applying for a K Visa. You’ll know you’ve selected the right option as it asks for your DS-160 number (if it asks for a DS-260 number, you’ve made a wrong choice).

It will then take you to the payment screen and delivery option screen where you pay for the visa and then can choose your interview date.

If you, like me, chose an immigrant visa instead of a k-visa, then you’ll need to cancel your original account, which deletes your interview appointment safe and delivery. You won’t be able to schedule your old interview date, so prepare for a few weeks added on until your interview. You must delete your old account if you want to use the same email address for your new one and you can only do this before you start your new account.

It was frustrating as hell to find this out the hard way, but my interview date is only 4 weeks later than planned, all we need to do differently now is supply a letter reconfirming our intent to marry as our petition expires before my interview.

There is still a cashier at the embassy. They won't let you get out of there without payment. The document collector will send you there before your file is passed to the interviewer.

Of more concern is if you didn't register with the courier. There used to be a courier desk in the lobby  (years ago) where everybody registered in person after the interview. That ended when the automated registration started.

I think maybe you didn't read the directions provided and maybe went down the wrong path. CR1s pay through the NVC so they would not be directed to the same screens as a K1.

Thank you for your help! This helps alot!

Hey!!! I’m buzzing!!! Won’t deny I’m crapping my pants either as it’s now day 260 for us. We have done our time and have waited over 6 weeks for our interview. Foolishly we should have booked it end of Aug as we had options 7+ days later from when we booked 🙈

Can’t believe it will all be done next Friday!!!! London embassy has always come across great from what I’ve read. You’ll get sorted no bother. We are 11am. Oh, I’m feeling London next week. I’m from N Ireland. Bring it on, plus Jake will be here too for interview. Can’t wait to see him more than anything ❤️
