I'm following along to get an estimate as to when I will be receiving an Interview date.  (IR-1) My CC is today (10.10.18), and it's looking like anywhere from 4-8 weeks from today I should get my date, then approximately 4 weeks from that date until the actual interview (in Montreal, CA)?  Does this sound correct?

Does anyone know of a CC date October feed/topic is?  Or should I just create one (lol)

There are a bunch of us still waiting, and hoping, for our dates. My CC is August 6th, and there a bunch behind me that I know of. So, I’m at the end of week #10 of waiting, simply for an interview date. I hope they speed up for your sake, but truthfully thinking that you will get a date before 8 weeks almost seems impossible. Especially with thanksgiving, Christmas, and new years coming up. I can’t see the consulate speeding  up with all of that approaching. That’s my opinion though.

This is the link for some of us still waiting since early August and hoping for November. Jump in over and you will at least be able to see when August CC’ers start getting their dates.

I’ll send you the link in a moment but there are a bunch of us waiting for interviews with early August cc’s. I’m August  6th personally. It’s looking like 2-3 months is the current wait based on the fact that I personally am approaching the 2.5 month, the end of week 10 of waiting for my date. I’d say 4 weeks is almost impossible, 8 weeks a slight chance if they speed up drastically, but 10-12 is realistic. I’d be more optimistic if we didn’t have 3 holidays coming up. Otherwise, settle in for the 2-3 month wait to simply get a date.

Thank you for this.  I'm thinking January at the earliest, so if it's before then it's a bonus.  I can't believe how long this is taking for everyone.

.hey I tried to edit and things got messed up. Anyways, I sent a comment that is now visible above.

They still are assigning dates 30 days out, that part is still true though...once you get the email that is. The last round of dates given out ended on Oct 31st and they were CC’s of late July.

For Mexican beneficiaries: our lawyer told us on Wednesday that a July CC for a CR1 should expect to receive notice of a scheduled interview in December orJanuary. The actual onsite interview will take place in February or March. That is a 7 to 8 month wait for an interview. If the embassy slows even more over the next 4 months, this wait time will be increased. Unless you expedite your case, which can be done for a variety of reasons, time from CC to interview will be 8 to 9 months. I am so sad for all of the families who will be forced to withstand separation and hardship because of this current adminstration.

My cc date is 6/4 this is not ok!! So im looking at next year appointment really!!! 😭😭💔

Interview was yesterday! VISA APPROVED!!

The Security officers & CO's were so nice and welcoming. I was asked a total of four questions

1. When my husband and I met

2. When we made it official

3. when we got married

4. what were his intentions on arriving in US (she thought he was still on visitors visa in Canada)

My first part of the interview was giving documents in the first booth, and doing bio-metrics was told to sit down and waited for my number to be called. Once I was called to the second booth my interview was about 5-10 minutes.

You guys and gals make sure you have all the documents you need and everything will be smooth sailing. It's not as scary as it's made out to be.

Good luck on those still waiting & thank you to everyone who has offered support, their help & kind words.

Approved! Had my interview today in Montreal. No surprises really if you read the reviews of that Consulate. Only thing different was that they brought u inside according to interview time and not place in line outside. Also my paper was white and not pink like others. All in all pretty nerve racking wait but everyone was friendly. Interview questions were more of a confimation of information they had. Definitely not an interrogation.

Congratulations

🙏🏾Thank to God everything goes well, my interview was on October 29, at 8am, I arrived at 7:25 get in after 5 min they ask passport and interview appointment letter the first step, give me back my passport and paper with number on it #7 the paper has list of the documents to put in order, it is like airport security and they will ask to shut the phone and handed they give me sticker to pick my phone. I found it very easy and very much relaxing place and if you prepared all the original documents it is very easy. Everything goes well had all the documents and give them by order I finished all lesthan 2hours. all finished at 9:15am. Everyone is helpful and polite. Very good experience 🙏🏾 I already have email from the us counsulate to pick up my visa because of the Canada post strike😊
