"A quick example" is just one example. It is absolutely not indicative of USCIS' average processing times. Everyone should expect their AoS cases to take about a year or more. Anyone who finishes AoS before 10-12 months is very lucky and it is very rare now.

I never said it's a sound. I reiterate that it's my observation from good data that I picked. I am not patronising anyone here. As I said, it's up to others if they wanna take my observations. Anyway.. this is not a government website. There is lotta incomplete data on this website. Ppl have entered data with future dates.

Sure but many of us also keep track in threads with other people who filed in the same month (August 2017 Filers, etc). Each of those threads have a good number of people in them who post to update everyone on their individual cases in real time (and therefore, giving us all a realistic idea of average processing times) but not all may update their timelines. If you call USCIS or go to an InfoPass appointment to ask an officer about processing times, they will laugh if you say you heard AoS only takes 4-6 months.

its not GOOD data because it only focuses on the results YOU are looking for.

To compile GOOD data, you have to take ALL of the data and calculate ALL of it in.  Not just what suits you.

Lol what?? Nobody here is saying they don't want to consider it. I even acknowledged in my previous post that people DO finish AoS in 6 months but that it is rare.

I am telling you that's the trend.

This is the part that we are disagreeing with because it is NOT the trend.

Yes we ignore future dates when making estimates. Folks enter them all the time for a confirmed interview or known date. Quite normal.

It would be good if:

1) Fields are made mandatory.

2) Futuredates are not allowed to enter.

3) While searching for records, there could filter for both beneficiary's country and beneficiary's consulate cause in some cases not necessarily both are same. Having both of them will help understanding the trends and connecting with ppl who had applied from those consulates.

You pay separately for each of these requests.

Not sure if for AP and EAD there are no additional charges if applied together but it's good if there are not. The USCIS website shows individual charges for them.

From USCIS, https://www.uscis.gov/news/questions-and-answers/uscis-issue-employment-authorization-and-advance-parole-card-adjustment-status-applicants-questions-and-answers:

Quote

Q5. How much does this card cost?

A5. If you submitted an application for adjustment of status on or after July 30, 2007 (or on or after August 18, 2007, for employment-based cases), you will pay only one fee to file Form I-485, Form I-765 and Form I-131. The fee for Form I-485 is <outdated cost>, and there is no separate fee for Forms I-765 and I-131 associated with a Form I-485. For those cases that were filed under the old fee structure, the costs for this card will equal the combined costs of filing Forms I-131 and I-765, which is a total of <outdated cost>. Visit www.uscis.gov/fees for more information.

Hello

I do have a question please

. So my fiancé and I started talking in January 2018 and met in person in May... we will be getting married in October God willing and we are planning to apply for the CR1 December or January. Is it advisable to go ahead and apply for it or it's too soon for that? I believe by the time USCIS will approve it and goes through NVC stage all will take a while so can we just proceed with it?

Or wait? Every advice will be appreciated, Thank you.

You need to be prepared for the journey you are about to take.Keep all these documents(1)Marriage certificate(2)marriage photos both of you and your family and friends of both sides(3)keep all receipts that related to your relationship including money transfer and plane tickets(4)mailing letters and post cards from both of you and make sure you have a lot of evidence to proves that your marriage is legitimate.
