Hey guys,

Im probably over thinking this one but reading over my DS-160 and looking specifically at my US travel history. So for example, I left Dublin for Vegas on Wednesday 30th May and arrived back in Dublin around 3pm Thursday 7th June (2018). I calculate this as an 8 day duration for example. Another example is 28th August-7th September (2017). Again I calculate this as 10 days.

Is this correct?

I think im going crazy with all my over thinking 🙈

Thanks

Jon

It would be a 9 day duration.  If you landed in Vegas on the 30th, you would count the 30th and 31st, then June 1st to 7th.  August 28-Sept 7 would be 11 days.

Got ya! Well it was the evening on the 30th I arrived as I had to transit through San Francisco. So if I do another DS-160 will this affect my scheduled interview?

One day difference on the form is not a deal breaker. Keep calm and carry on. Don't do a new one. You aren't being graded on your counting skills.

OMG-it's truly been such a long process. We started this journey in December. We are ready to be done. It's every detail I feel at this point I find myself going through. I'd just be afraid that they would say that it's not accurate and would be petrified they'd deny me. All the emotions I'm feeling now is indescribable.

That is not going to happen. Get a grip.

The application is not a test where the teacher marks with a red pen  and counts your mistakes to see if you pass.

I thought I was going to get denied because I put "Other: Engaged" as my marital status rather than "Single" 🙈

Since this got moved out of the UK FORUM, I need to add my comments were London specific. I don't know how strict other consulates are about small  mistakes. London is quite forgiving.

Heyy thanks!

Thats why I posted in London subforum in the first place as it was being asked in relation to London Embassy’s perception of it with the possibility of anyone giving their experiences specific to London. I don’t care about any other embassy as I’m not interviewing there 🙄

Thanks again for your advice.
