Hi everybody!

My name is Alicia and me and my fiance have submitted the 129f visa, receiving NOA1 on May 2018. I am currently working abroad in the United Arab Emirates, so we introduce this details as our embassy.

Since I would like to visit my fiance and the processing time is taking long,  I am thinking to come back to my country, Spain. The currently processing times are 7-9 months, and I am struggling with the distance. I was thinking to move the case to an embassy in Spain and being able to visit him on a tourist visa while we get the approval.

How can I change my direction/country as a beneficiary?

Will it slow down/interfere the process?

Do you know similar cases?

Thank you so much.

You can only change it after the NOA2. You would have to call the NVC to change it to the other country. It does delay it about a month though.

You can change the country for the interview after you get NOA2 to a country you are a legal resident of. Remember that that won’t change how long it takes USCIS or NVC to process only how long it takes embassy processing. Also the more you change on your case, the more time you add to your processing.
