Hi,

I would put down her current legal name now, so the after her marriage.  Whatever her legal name is today. Congrats on your upcoming oath!

My husband’s interview was this morning (approved) at Portland USCIS office and we are currently sitting in the waiting area before the ceremony! Our visa journey is finally complete. :)

Great congratulations! My interview is next week in Orlando. Glad to know the officer was respectful. I do have to correct my record on my interview as I did not include two minor moving citations on my application, and also have to tell them I have a baby who was born since my application. Hope it goes smoothly.

4/11/2019: Scheduled for Interview.

5/20/2019: Interview day, APPROVED!

5/30/2019: Oath Ceremony. Officially a US citizen! Time to Vote :D

7/28/2015: Received electronic notification that USCIS has received my case and they are forwarding it to national benefits center.

8/1/2015: Received Hard copy of NOA of all 4 forms by mail.

8/31/2015: Case updated to Interview scheduled for 10/1/2015

good luck in your interview. As far as the corrections, just make sure you bring all the information with you, the officer is going to go over the entire application with you anyhow, and he/she will just add the evidence to that particular section. Also, make sure you go over your application before going to the interview, since you are going to review it with your officer, it is good to remember what was asked in there (about 20 yes/no questions). My oath is on the 24th, you probably will get in at the same oath.

My Oath Ceremony was on Monday, it extended over 2 hours. At the end of it we could fill the voter registration, but there was no DS 11 application option. The lady said that can be done at the post office. Good luck to everyone who is waiting.

Yes, the estimated case completion date changed for most people who have an N400 pending with the Manhattan office. 30,000 cases pending. It's a terrible situation and they only process/completed about 2,500 per month - at that rate it would take 1 year just to clear the backlog and yet new applications continue to be received so they cycle of delay just gets worse.

Just finished my interview and was approved! But man the interview was rough.  I arrived about 15 minutes before but I was taken in almost immediately. It was definitely interrogation style a lot more than my Green Card interview. He started off by complaining that I filed too early and I should not have sent my application that early and that they had to put a pink slip on it for a couple of days before processing. I explained to him that I used the calculator on the USCIS website and filed electronically, not by mail. The website would not even allow me to file early. After I clarified I think he realised the issue was on their side but was still defensive.

 

The driving citations and the updating my daughter on the application was not an issue

 

Ultimately I passed he was just doing his job. Can't complain!

 

Oath is on 5/30th !!!

did they go over the questions in your application? in those I did feel like it was a bit of an interrogation, but nothing bad whatsoever.

Yea he was pretty rough. Felt like he was trying to trip me from the moment I politely explained that I followed the USCIS calculator and filed electronically, so I could not have filed too early. It seemed to me it took him a while to understand that I did not "mail" in anything because he kept telling me you should not mail it before you are eligible to file.

 

Maybe its just his style, and at no point did I think he was being out of line or unprofessional (except maybe towards the end when he smugly kept trying to ask "how do you think you did" like I am a kid at elementary school).

 

Either way I am just glad it was over.

9/9/2018: N-400 Application submitted ONLINE. Estimated case completion: November 2019 (14 months).

9/10/2018: NOA

9/15/2018:Scheduled for Biometrics appointment. Scheduled for 10/1/2018

10/1/2018: Biometrics completed. 

4/11/2019: Scheduled for Interview.

5/20/2019: Interview day, APPROVED!

5/30/2019: Oath Ceremony. Officially a US citizen! Time to Vote :D

7/22/2015: Mailed I-130, I-485, I-131, I-765

7/28/2015: Received electronic notification that USCIS has received my case and they are forwarding it to national benefits center.

8/1/2015: Received Hard copy of NOA of all 4 forms by mail.

8/6/2015: Received Biometrics appointment in mail, date 8/20

8/20/2015: Biometrics completed.

8/31/2015: Case updated to Interview scheduled for 10/1/2015

9/1/2015: Received interview letter hardcopy by mail

9/28/2015: EAD / AP Card in production

10/1/2015: Interview completed, unfortunately will need further review...

10/3/2015: Recieved EAD / AP combo card in mail

11/16/2015: Completed first Infopass. J1 file still pending from DOS

12/9/2015: I485 / I130 approved. I-485 updated to "New Card is being produced"!!!

12/14/2015: Received I130/I485 approval / Welcome letter

12/15/2015: Received Green Card in mail!!!!

 

J1 Exceptional Hardship Waiver Timeline:

 

12/18/2014: Form DS-3035 was received by the DOS

11/2014-2/2015: We collected letters of support from Family

2/15/2015: Last DS-2019 was received.

2/27/2015: Sent I-612 + Affidavit and supporting documents (This was sent to California Service Center)

3/4/2015: USCIS received I-612 and sent Form I-797C notice of action in mail which I received later on.

4/9/2015: USCIS requested another non-USCIS advisory opinion for Form I-612

4/14/2015: From I-612 and I-613 were received by the DOS

5/6/2015: DOS: Post input: received,

6/27/2015: DOS decision turned to Favorable recommendation, Recommendation sent on 6/26

7/2/2015: USCIS approved I-612 application online

7/9/2015: Received Hard copy approval in mail
