My husband’s interview was this morning (approved) at Portland USCIS office and we are currently sitting in the waiting area before the ceremony! Our visa journey is finally complete. :)

Hello. I applied via mail on Sept 18, the office where I applied is Dallas, TX, but in the email I received that the case was being forwarded to Harrisonburg Storage Center? Does that make sense? So my application is not in Dallas TX? 

I’m going through a divorce so I’m applying on the 5year rule, I made 5years here on August 31st. I have a 1year old and a 3year old. 

At the beginning of the year I was on WIC, too much stress from an ongoing divorce, my son had to spend overnights at his dads and my milk decreased, my son was on soy formula. 

The divorce is still ongoing, 18months now, finally going to the judge, since we cannot come to an agreement. I told my soon to be ex, I’m on WIC and I can share the soy formula with him bc he was giving him some milk based cheap generic brand, while he needed soy. He reported me to DSS for fraud, saying I wasn’t claiming all my income, the kids are on medicare, but we also have his as a primary insurance, and they are on EBT, since I qualified bc of income, but I’m not eligible for any of it bc I hadn’t been here for 5years when I applied in January. 

Long story short, I had an administrative hearing, I went with my lawyer and explained the whole situation, where the ex just wants to hurt and they withdrew the accusation. So that is done. They told me that now I’m eligible for benefits as well, since I turned 5years in the US in August. But I read it might be harmful to get benefits while going through a cizitenship process? I was trying to read online but nothing came up as acertain fact. Does anyone or has anyone been in a similar situation? 

Im making it on my own while living alone with my two kids, I’m strong, I can do this. I never thought my life would turn out like this, but my kids need me more, I cannot afford being deported or not seeing my kids again. 

I guess I’m just scared, please give any info you have. 

I had my biometrics on October 1st, I did an early walk in. And ever since I’ve only gotten the biweekly emails saying nothing is new on your case, completion date on my USCIS acct is June2020, 22months from filing date.

I have a question. Hope someone can help. Did you guys send every bank statement? I uploaded for the last six months and then quarterly for the previous two years. However, whenever I sign out and then sign back into the application, bank statements get shuffled (like in random order mixing months from 2018/17/16). Had anyone have to deal with this?

I have downloaded the last six months (6 PDF Files) and then I put them all together into 1 PDF file.

Anyone in Norfolk, Virginia? Ive been waiting til now but no interview date yet. I wish mine is faster. How long did you wait for the interview date?
