Good News September Filers. If you filed in September and you received notice that your I797 was mailed out but you never received it, there is an action that you can take. I don't know if it will work for everyone but it worked for me. I was able to fill out an online form and I was able to get the USCIS to mail all new I797's for my wife and her two kids. Not only did they respond to my request right away, but we also just received all of our I797's in the mail today. The I797 is the 18 month extension letter. 

 

The initial response from USCIS (they sent me a letter) was that they mailed out the I797's on October 22nd and that the letters were not returned as undeliverable, so they told me I need to make sure they have my correct address, and as a 'courtesy' they would mail out the letter again.

 

So, too all you I751 filers from September that have not received your I797 notice of action with the statement that your GC'S have been renewed for 18 months, go online to the USCIS web site, (but make sure that they have your correct address) and then fill out the form online and tell them that you did not receive your notice in the mail. They do have the ability of sending out another notice. It's not impossible!!!!!!!!

Click: Did not receive notice by mail

 

When you get down to Notice Type select Other. In the box Provide last action on your case, make the statement that your I797 was never received,  then copy and paste the USCIS rules that state their obligation is to send you a receipt notice I797 with the language in it that your GC is extended for 18 months. (also known as an Extension Letter)

NOA Date = The Receipt Date on your original NOA letter.

I haven't gotten my biometrics letter either. I just sent a message in my account to see if they answer. I would just like to know if I need the appointment or not. 😀😀 People in this Forum are making me worried about never getting the letter and missing the appointment. If I don't get an answer I'll be calling asap.

I'll be travelling internationally in a week with my 18 months extension letter.. I hope thr wouldnt be any concerns as i didnt recieve any update regarding biometrics..?

Got my biometrics before my extension letter. Not sure why some are delayed.  But if you miss your biometrics you can reschedule or you can try a walk in
