I can't really get your explanation. Does that mean they have sent you your biometric appointment letter when u said the got back to you when your biometric was sent? Moreover, are u a September filler? If yes. Let us know the process u followed to get it. I guess u are the only one among us September fillers with biometric info

I had raised a request to find out the whether NOA was mailed out. USCIS got back to me on the inquiry and in their reply they had mentioned about the biometric letter that was sent out. I didn't want to spend hours on phone waiting for them so I choose to send request through USCIS website.

Also from what I understand that Biometric may or may not be needed as it is case by case basis. I have no clue about how that decision is made but if I were to guess; I would assume that the USCIS center has the biometric available in their system, which is why biometric might not be needed.

I guess some of September fillers that are yet to receive their biometric could call them and probably speak with a supervisor. I called them today concerning my biometric and spoke to a supervisor that scheduled my appointment date and time. She told me to be expecting the mail, and I should come on or 5 days to the appointment that she can actually fax it if I don't see the mail.

Will someone please explain why everyone is so worried about a biometrics letter. Isn't the Extension Letter the real document that all of us need after our case has been accepted? To be honest, I don't care about a NOA receipt (I didn't get one but I did get the email) I don't care about a biometrics letter, (Still haven't gotten that either) all I want, what I really really want, is that dang extension letter.

The NOA receipt is the extension letter. I am not concerned about biometrics because I know quite few people who didn’t have to re-do the fingerprints and ended up getting their GC in the mail few months later with no issue. I think people just want to make sure everything is done correctly on their part considering USCIS has been quite a mess, issuing extension letters, supposedly sending them, not sending them, printing it again, then sending them, then people getting 3 Copies.. Some people are plannig on traveling and don’t want to miss possible appointment or get in trouble etc. :) I hope you get your extension letter soon. I would maybe make an infopass if you have been waiting for a while.

Hmmm....- I spoke to a Tier 2 officer he informed me that USCIS will not issue a second I-797 NOA. He was pretty matter of fact that there is not such a thing as a reissued I-797 NOA. Either you got it or you don't.

When I asked him how without it will my wife renew her drivers license or come back from Mexico without the extension letter he told me the extension letter and the NOA are two different forms. He then told me to make an info pass appointment at my USCIS Field office and abruptly hung up without even a goodbye.

I've been refreshing the USCIS page all night since 11pm trying to get it to show me that it's accepting appointments so I can make one but no such luck on my end. It's flashing the same message that they are not accepting info pass appointments.

I had a same issue. I spoke to supervisor as well and he informed me that I would have to make an Infopass appointment. There is also a tool online you can try that you haven’t received your extension letter. I ended up getting 3 copies (all I wanted was 1)

I also needed to extend my DL etc. The officer I spoke to said I can try the online tool but other than that said the only option was to make an infopass.

When you get NOA it says “Notice type: receipt notice amount received: $680.00 u.s.” and then it says “Your conditional resident status is extended for 18 months blah blah blah”
