My concern is that i have to apply for UK visa (this week)and have to submit my passport for that.. what if i get my biometrics appointment and I don passport for that  I'm just hoping i get my passport back by then or else i need to reschedule my biometrics. I don knw i'm really worried...

I recently went through biometric and they were fine with my DL. Also, you do have an option for rescheduling. Hope that helps

That sounds great.. I can carry my gc and my extension letter along with DL if thats all what they are asking.. or even a copy of my passport..

What’s the trick to getting an infopass appointment? I need to get a I-551 stamp in order to replace my social security card and everytime I log on there are no times available for the field office in my area.

No trick but consistently checking every now and then. I got to schedule an appointment after 3 days of checking in different times day and night. I got successful in getting a schedule during lunch on a Friday if that helps.

@Project_Harajuku check around 12am everyday, new appointments open and get filled up in 5/10 mins. Hope that helps

Has anybody use a receipt [extension letter] to show employer that you're eligible to work? 
I went to fill out orientation paper work today but I got rejected. 
The HR said they did not accept expired green card and and the extension letter.

That’s a pile of #######. They can’t deny you legally. It says on the extension that it is an authorization to work.

but then HR have  the most stupid people.

The manager look at it and said she have never seen it before. She then scanned my paper and sent it to HR at the head office. They said they don't accept this document and ask me to bring in state ID instead huh...

The USCIS once told me if rejected to ask them for official letter asking for evidence and come to see them in infopass appointment to address them directly
