Hey Everybody.

I feel stupid for asking this... but how much are you sending in for the I-751 filing fee? I am a US citizen. My wife/stepdaughter's I-751 packet was rejected for my sending an incorrect amount. I wrote my check for $595. My (K-1)wife and (K-2)stepdaughter are on one form. The instructions said to not pay the Biometrics fee upfront. I'm confused and going crazy...

Guys, if you have waited for 30 days and havnt yet received the paper NOA, schedule infopass and get the stamp.

Take printout from online case history from USCIS/DHS website, fedex/usps receipt of you mailing the package, take print out of package was delivered, check account statement of your check was cashed. They can check your case status from your A number only

I read in a thread that several people were able to obtain  stamp on their passport but has to be atleast 30 days after delivery or your check cash.

Will they take the expires greencard if you get a stamp?

For you, it would be $595 (one application fee) + $80 (biometrics for wife) + $80 (biometrics for stepdaughter) = $755.

They are applying jointly with you, but you, as USC spouse, don't need biometrics.  I agree that the instruction is not very well written.

@vpalermo85  Where did you hear that? the wonkiness news ..did you call them?

Btw yesterday I presented my SS Card and my DL to my new employer and they accepted for I-9. DL is valid till 2023

Yep, called them earlier today.  I inputted the term myself, the USCIS officer simply described the changes and how they backlogged, put people in limbo for anyone filing between mid-August to present.

So that is why I have deemed the current state 'wonky'

I didn't do the G145 form or whatever so I don't have a receipt number. I just know that my check was cashed on 9/6! I really didn't want to call them but looks like I'll be having to call them

Does anyone know if with the receipt number I'll be able to go get my passport stamped? I have until 11/29/18 but just in case I have to?

Call to get receipt number, even Tier 1 has access to that information. I haven't done it yet (will decide in the next week or so) but taking your receipt number, evidence of check cashed and shipping tracking info, and passport seems to be enough

I called USCIS just now and got the receipt#. The customer rep was very nice. He said to wait into 2 weeks for the notice to come in the mail.

I can already track my case online at USCIS using the receipt#. It states that both the case (Form I-751) and Fingerprint fee were received on 9/26, and a receipt notice has been mailed. I haven't got NOA yet, though so will wait another 2 weeks
