@vpalermo85 I have an online account from the past 2 years, from the time of AoS. I tried adding the reciept # there and it said the receipt number does not exist. Anyother suggestions?

Did you create a myaccount though?

This is more up to date in terms of status.  But it still takes a week or so for the case to appear online with a status even when an NOA is issued.

If there's one thing USCIS teaches us, it is patience lol

Should I call to get my case number? we sent our packet to VSC, it arrived on 9/10. we forgot to send in the e-notification form so I feel like we are in the dark. We called Western Union (since we gave them a check from there) and WU said that they cashed their check on 9/21. Now I guess we are waiting for the NOA but I know nothing.

@Savannahalexandra yes you should. and they'll tell you when they sent out the NOA. Also you can go to a USCIS field office, there they will stamp your passport if you need one if they can find they issues a NOA online

USCIS won't give out the I-551 stamp if your extension letter has already  been issued.

That's what the USCIS officer said to  me today when I asked about it.

If your extension letter/I-797C hasn't been issued, call USCIS and see about setting up an appointment at your local office.

Is calling USCIS the only way to know if the letter has been issued? I mean even if the letter has been sent out, it won't be reflected checking the status at USCIS?

Anybody experiencing the same with me?

I sent I751packet on Sept 5 and delivered by Sept 7 to VSC. I dont’t have NOA or any other means to track my case  my check has not been cashed yet and I didn’t sent the form for e notification.

I received a letter from USCIS which is from Chicago that return the photos I put in a binder, saying they cannot accept that format it was dated Sept 25 and I received it 28. I think my case was transferred to Chicago.

It is almost a month and I am so stressed out bec today I have fingerprinting process for the new job I got with me bringing an I-9. I don’t have anything to prove extension of GC though the job itself will start Nov 10 my gc expires Oct 24.

I cant remember if we talked about this yet but it is probably much easier to get your new Social Security card, without the "valid for work only..." stamp.  You could take care of that tomorrow with no appointment.  That plus your drivers liscence is all that is needed to prove legality to work.

Look here: the I-9 is what all new employees fill out. you need one from column A or once from B plus one from C.

I doubt calling USCIS is really useful.

I used to called them to ask some questions, after 10 min later, I called them again, another person told me completely different information on the phone.

Hi Guys,

I followed your advises and just called USCIS. Super practical!

After ask me some security questions, DOB, A# and Address, they told me my Letter has been sent on Sept 20th to my email. I did not receive it yet.

( I sent my file to Lewisville, TX on  Sept 11th. Got email and text with receipt# on Sept 19th).

Hope it can help you all!!

Don't think USCIS really sent you the letter, otherwise you should already received it.

I will also call them when I have time.
