I just sent my packet today via USPS to California Service Center. My anxiety is through the roof! My packet is probably 150 pages, mainly because of the tax documents, bills and photos.

My window opened on August 5 (my GC is set to expire on 11/5) but had to wait for a few documents to come in the mail, which explains why I submitted only now. Hope that's okay? It's still within the 90-day window, right?

Also, looks like my packet is arriving in CA on the 10th, 8pm so the new USCIS guidelines will probably apply to me. My ROC packet has lesser pages than my AOS, but I made sure to include everything. Crossing my fingers I don't get RFE.

P.S. I made a mistake of creating a September 2018 thread (didn't see this one until I clicked on the third page). Sorry!

Dafny, you're well within the window, so all is well. Don't worry! The window opens 90 days before your GC expires and closes the day after it expires.

Hi All -  were back for some more immigration fun too.  A couple of questions (more to ease paranoia).

1)  We had two addresses since we were married and per the instructions we needed to add the prior address to section 11.  Got it.  No problem there.  It also said that  each section 11 form should also be signed but they give no place for a signature on it.  Is the lower right acceptable or can someone tell me what they have done there that has been a success for them?

2)  There is only one signature needed for the petitioner and one from the spouse, correct?  So barring that one is needed for section 11 there are only 2 signatures needed on the form.

Thanks for the help.

I’m not sure how to remove the quote block from the status template.

Plain old copy paste had the unfortunate side effect of removing all the formatting - which was sad. :P

My ROC packet has lesser pages than my AOS,

People seem to be having different experiences on this front. My AOS packet was pretty small and straightforward but RoC ended up as a ‘War and Peace’ endevour, even after I trimmed it down substantially with help from the fine folks here.

I guess we all have different circumstances/types of supporting evidence or perhaps just differing ideas of what we think is necessary for us. In the end, as long as it is accepted, that’s the main thing. :)

I don't think you need to sign & date the part 11. They don't provide any spot for you to sign. At least I didn't, and I don't remember signing on anything where there was no space for signature on any of my prior immigration forms.

From the instructions, my understanding is that if you need more space (more than the Part 11 sheet) and attaching additional paper of your own, then you need to write your name, A-number, date and sign it.

Hello fellow September filers!

Looks like I'm going to be hanging out with this crew for the next year biting my nails as we wait for this rollercoaster to end--fun isn't it?

As a warning, if you're filing today the service centers have changed!  It's a good thing I checked--Vermont and California are no longer accepting I-751 applications.

The service centers are now Texas and Arizona.

It's always good practice to verify before you send out.

I just checked it too and you are absolutely correct about checking it before sending out.  Hoping this speeds up the process for everyone.

According to USCIS, Texas and Arizona will take a minimum of 15 months to process--the fastest right now is Vermont and we just missed that boat haha.

The worst is California--which is at about 22 months to process.

Many thanks for your information!

I just rushed the post office and got my package back.

👆 Let's go to this thread to discuss the timelines in Nebraska (LIN) center! 👆

Glad to be of help!

Worst case, it would have been in limbo for a while and would have been most likely forwarded to the correct location or sent back to you directly (the first is more likely).

But for those that are filing last minute, it's important it gets to the right location as soon as possible.
