I'm planning to travel too after getting my extension letter.. the process is for about 18-20 months its a long time to delay the travel plans

some members got notification in about a weeks time when sent to Texas Service.. So guess it is the faster one compared to the other service center..

Well, we are all going through the same service center, some people just send it directly TO the center if they're using a private delivery company, others send to the Lockbox. Sounds like you sent to Lockbox? What notification, from USCIS or from USPS?

yes i sent to Dallas PO address..

Notification from USICS if you submit the G-1145 form:

E-Notification: If you want to receive an e-mail and/or a text message that your Form I-751 has been accepted at a USCIS Lockbox facility, complete Form G-1145, E-Notification of Application/Petition Acceptance, and clip it to the first page of your petition.

Got it, yes, we're doing the G-1145 but I was curious. So sending to the Lockbox seems to get the notification faster, any idea on the NOA1?

I'm not quite sure about that .. I assume all the applications are been sent to Lockbox starting from Sep 10. 2018 instead of the service centers...(please correct me if I'm wrong)

earlier people sending to Vermont got their NOA-1 about 1-2 weeks where as California center was taking anywhere between 4 -6 weeks..

 

Now as they changed the filing locations, need to learn more how this NOA-1 is working for the new locations..

4-6 weeks yikes 😕 Hope that's not the case, but we went through TSC for the I-129f and it was a nightmare so I'm not holding my breath.

I am not sure either what is the difference between sending the package to the PO box in Dallas,TX ( USPS ) or sending it to Lewisville,TX (Fedex, UPS, DHL) and if this affects the time to receive notifications. 

 

This is a nightmare, but let's keep positive!! 🙂

I'm an August 2018 filer to CSC (sent 8/14, received 8/16) and still no check deposited for many of us.

That is terrible, I'm so sorry. What happens if someone's GC expires in that time? We are filing late (could have done it as early as 8/5, will HOPEFULLY get it in 9/21) and now I'm getting scared. I hate this feeling, and I wish I'd just moved to my husband's country instead.

 

The TSC thing was that the I-129fs were all sent to the same Lockbox, which was sending them out to either TSC or CSC depending on the state of the petitioner. Apparently at some point, TSC moved a lot of staff off the I-129fs and were getting more petitions than CSC in the first place and no one did anything about it. So, NOA1 at TSC was taking ~7 months (210 days) and CSC was taking ~3 weeks (21 days)-- on *average*. There were many CSC filers who got their NOA2 mobile notification before their NOA1 even arrived in the mail (about 3 or 4 days to NOA2) while some TSC filers were taking 9.5 months to NOA2. It took intervention from the Office of the President for USCIS to believe that there was an actual problem besides customers complaining about wait times.

Alright, guys, please tell me i did not screw this up. I live in Wisconsin and I swear to God I checked the USCIS website and “Where to file” section before I sent my packet and it said Laguna Niguel, CA. Now it says Phoenix, AZ and California disappeared.

Please tell me they changed it after August 31 due to CSC overload because I’m pretty sure I checked the address the day I sent it.

is it possible to get i551 stamp even without the NOA? My gc and drivers license's expiring on nov 23. I need it to keep my job😭. Csc/ az offices  having some major delays and I'm afraid i won't get my extension letter by then.

So you could file N-400 without receiving 10 years GC?
