GOT NATURALIZATION CERTIFICATE BACK!!!

Just got naturalization certificate back! A little bent here-and-there, but overall in decent shape.

Except for updating SSA and DMV am TOTALLY DONE now. YAAAY!

Profile pic - Rainbow Tower of the Hilton Hawaiian Village - Waikiki, Honolulu, Hawaii.

Why this for the profile pic?  Often in movies and on TV when they show Hawaii they show this beach/view. So, instead of doing Kauai or some other locale, we decided to do here, so that whenever some show shows Hawaii and this view, we will see where we were married.

I-751 applied in 09/2018 to CSC and transferred to Nebraska. NOA1 with extension letter received 10/2018, and 18-months expired in 04/2020. Could not get infopass due to the pandemic, and even after they opened in 07/2020, they only do emergency appointments.  Applied for N-400 in 12/2019.

Finally my I-751 is now approved after 23 months.. and they also scheduled an interview for N-400.

Hi everyone.. I need some help.

i filed for the i751 removal of conditions in September of 2018. (24th)

biometrics completed

i797 with 18 month extension mailed to me.

November 2019; They asked for additional evidence. I mailed it out within 1- 2 weeks.

December; case was transferred to a new jurisdiction (Missouri)

fast forward to June 2020, and I’m still waiting..

I filed for naturalization in December 2019. The office that is processing that application is not the same as the I751.

Did anyone else have a similar situation? Did anyone else get their GC yet?

I just got a rRFE as well im yet to receive it in mail can you say what more did they ask for because at this point i gave everything i could.

Finally my I-751 is now approved after 23 months.. and they also scheduled an interview for N-400.

So, I had my N400 interview yesterday. It was really smooth and sweet. I took the civics and English test first, and after clearing the test, had to wait for the IO. Then proceeded to the interview room. The IO had already reviewed all my file and knew my case well. My case is a typical bread-and-butter case with no red flags or any issues. He said he initially thought he was going to do a combo interview for I-751 and N400, but he saw that my I-751 was approved last week, so he said that makes his job easier.   He was very easy going and nice, chatted about his own family a bit. He asked where my husband works and any updates with travels since the submission of the application. He then proceeded to ask all the "Yes/No" questions... and that was it.. He approved the case, and said the oath ceremony will be in 2-3 weeks. In few hours, my case was updated to "Oath Ceremony scheduled".

Of course I was wearing my mask, I was expecting at least to take off once to verify my ID, but strangely during the whole process, no-one asked me to take my mask off.

I still haven't received my physical 10-year green card in hand, although I-751 was approved last week. If I receive my GC after the oath ceremony, I wonder what should I do.. any similar cases here on VJ?

Hi everyone.

My N-400 interview is originally scheduled on March but it was de scheduled because of COVID. It was rescheduled on August 12, 2019 below is the story of how my interview went (this was posted on another thread):

WOW it was a long day basically spent the whole afternoon at USCIS. We got there at 12 noon and there’s no line to get in. My husband came with me. The waiting room is full so we waited outside but they didn’t  let me husband in so waited for me at the lobby. I was called around 1:30pm and I asked the IO if she needs my husband. She answered yes and she let me call him. He waited in the waiting room this time. First she conducted the N-400 it is very easy and passed 100%. So we moved on to I-751 and I sworn in etc. I brought recent bills, tax return etc and handed it all to her. Then the questioning started it was very long!! I was there till 3:30 then it was my husband’s turn and he’s interviewed for almost an hour. We’re both very hungry and thirsty also we’re the one of the last group of people to leave there. They’re just checking bonafide marriage. How we met? Who propose? How many marriages? If my husband has any tattoos, marks? What do we like to do together and so on. I was not prepared for this type of questioning but my husband and I had nothing to hide. I was a bit concerned about his recollections of events and when it happened.

My memory is really good with dates and events. And the IO asked me if my husband remembers everything I remember. I said he will most likely remember the event but not the date LOL. And that’s exactly what my husband told the IO. At the end I was given a paper that my case is under review since I added more proof of bonafide marriage. She said she will talk to her supervisor and recommend approval. She said everything looks good and she just needs to review it.

FAST FORWARD TODAY 8/14/2020

I received a notification that our I-751 and N-400 application is APPROVED!

Now waiting for the Oath ceremony date. Good luck to everyone that's still waiting.

Please, your initial stated date says August 12 2019. Is that an error or does it mean your interview was in 2019? How long was the wait between your interview and you receiving an approval notification?

Finally some movement; N-400 interview was scheduled. My best guess that this will be a combo interview like many have had so far.

For those who had combo interview; did you get a notice of I-751 interview. If there isn't a letter then does USCIS allows the spouse to join due to Covid restrictions?
