I couldn't wait and called in to check on my pending I-751 and this is what I got as the reply " On August, 2019, you also filed a Form N-400, Application for Naturalization.  Our records indicate that your Form I-751 and Form N-400 are currently pending and will be adjudicated at the same time.

On March 18, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services temporarily suspended routine in-person services to help slow the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). USCIS plans to begin reopening our offices on May 4, unless the public closures are extended further. USCIS staff are continuing to perform duties that do not involve contact with the public.  However, USCIS will provide emergency services for limited situations. To schedule an emergency appointment, contact the USCIS Contact Center."

Exactly the same response I got from them. 18 months extension expires this month.

hi everyone,

I filed my N-400 and was supposed to have my interview on march 31st but it was cancelled due to COVID19. They haven't rescheduled my interview yet. Now my problem is the extension letter for my conditional green card is expiring on June 28. I called the hotline and they told me that I should get a call from my field office (which is Los Angeles) in 42-78 hours but I receive nothing. Any advice on what I should do next?

If it puts you at ease mine expired May 3rd. Went through similar exercise.  Instead of call I got an email that only emergency infopass are being scheduled. Then I called and spoke and the response was unless you have a travel need or critical need you will not get an infopass appointment. Also was told that extension will not be send.

From what I understand, this my assumption is that the GC should still be good even if the date has expired.

Hi everyone.. I need some help.

i filed for the i751 removal of conditions in September of 2018. (24th)

biometrics completed

i797 with 18 month extension mailed to me.

November 2019; They asked for additional evidence. I mailed it out within 1- 2 weeks.

December; case was transferred to a new jurisdiction (Missouri)

fast forward to June 2020, and I’m still waiting..

I filed for naturalization in December 2019. The office that is processing that application is not the same as the I751.

Did anyone else have a similar situation? Did anyone else get their GC yet?

In same boat !!! Applied I-751 September of 2018 and N-400 (NYC) in August 2019. Response I received from USCIS was that I-751 is combined with N-400 and pending scheduling of Naturalization interview.

GC extension has expired and I can only get an infopass appointment only if there is an emergency travel need.

Ugh atleast you had that update! 😭

I haven’t been told that.
I have a request in for an InfoPass appointment as an emergency for work validation purposes. But they are taking up to 5 days to call people. I’m so stressed out and worried. Looking back I should have updated my social security card to reflect my resident status before it expired.

I’m in the same boat. I’m starting my nursing program at CSULA and they need validation that I am here legally. I called them and they said my local office will call me back and still receive no call from them.

My phone is on loud too. I will call them on Monday again if I don’t get any call today. Update me if you got the call. I was suppose to have my N400 interview on March 30 but it was de-scheduled due to covid19 😕

I have been calling also and each time the officers say infopass is only offered if it’s an emergency. I am out of work right now and need to secure employment. How can I do that without proof of legal residency? Mine expired since the first week of May.

I know this wasn’t for me,  but I figured I’d respond.

they won’t schedule you for an infopass appointment unless you have a job offer. Once you have that, then they will schedule you a date to go and get a i551 stamp. Thats basically what’s happening with me.

they put my request as “Urgent. Work validation required, job is at risk and financial impact if can’t prove legal residency.”

Once you get a job offer you can request the appointment.

That's not the only document you can use. You can also use drivers license and SS. Other any combination of List B and C I9 documents.
