Congratulations! Do you mind sharing what they asked for in the RFE and what you included? Was it just section 8 signature?

We are in the same situation, got a notification that a request for initial evidence is coming soon.

Anyone approved recently waiting for their card to be delivered? I got the notification Friday that my card was mailed but have not yet received a tracking number and no update on my case or anything in USPS informed delivery although there is something that wasn't scanned, did some people get their cards before the tracking info?

Mailed ROC I-751 on Sep 26, 2018

Had interview for citizenship today, Feb 5, 2020.

Was approved in 15 mins. (IO was very friendly.)

Glad that is done!

All the best to everyone!

Profile pic - Rainbow Tower of the Hilton Hawaiian Village - Waikiki, Honolulu, Hawaii.

Why this for the profile pic?  Often in movies and on TV when they show Hawaii they show this beach/view. So, instead of doing Kauai or some other locale, we decided to do here, so that whenever some show shows Hawaii and this view, we will see where we were married.

BENEFICIARY (From Dubai)

2012 - US Tourist Visa, Manila, Philippines

2012 - First Night spent in the US - Waikiki Beach, Honolulu

2016 - Wedding on the beach, Honolulu, Hawaii

2016 - Honeymoon at the hotel in this photo, Waikiki, Honolulu, Hawaii

They were filming a scene of Hawaii Five-O in the suite above ours during our Honeymoon stay! Actors everywhere!

Spouse hung out here with celebrities from the movie The Fifth Element back when he moved to Hawaii

2016 - US Spousal Visa, via DCF, Manila, Philippines

....................................

PETITIONER (from NYC)

1999 - Got a place right down the street from this hotel - Waikiki, Honolulu, Hawaii

2007 - Visited Philippines on vacation

2008 - Got a condo in Makati, PH

2012 - Considered for a role on the TV show, The Last Resort, shot out of Hawaii

Congratulations! I should have filed the N400 while my ROC was pending rather than file in December 2019. I'm so happy for you. Enjoy the beautiful moment of your ceremony.

@Bugg Thanks!

Yeah, it worked out great for us. We are happy and relieved, of course.

And the Tampa IO was fantastic!

We are just now starting to wind down from all the waiting and tension....and BREATHE....while we ponder what to wear at the ceremony.

We can't wait.

It takes FOREVER, all this process, right?

Kinda wish we could pay an expedite fee and get it all done in one much shorter shot.

Where are you in the process now? How fast/backed up is Dallas these days?

Yeah, we figured we'd file the N-400 with the ROC pending. We figured it wouldn't hurt, might as well.

And we still wonder if it was ever transferred, since we got the the green card right after we filed the N-400

And our i-751 package was pretty complete; as was our N-400 online submission.

Everybody's mileage can vary, but we made the decision and rolled the dice. And it worked out splendidly for us.

Don't fret at all....it is SO nice to not have to do the combo interview. You have your green card in hand - the N-400 will just take minutes. Is SO sweet.

Wishing you all the best.

And thanks again for your kind remarks.

Forward and Upward!

I'm pending interview and oath. Right now the Dallas office has an 8.5 to 15 month wait. According to my online account, I have anywhere between 10 to 11 months. ☹️ I just hope and pray it's sooner than that.

Ah, okay, so you are ALMOST there! Excellent!

The interview was cool. Here in Tampa they use two screens, one facing the IO and one on your side for your responses.

The IO reads the questions from her screen (that you cannot see), and as you respond, she types your responses into her console.

When it is time for you to read a sentence, and write a sentence, you use the mounted tablet on your side.

Likewise when it is time to give any signatures, you use the tablet and stylus on your side of the desk.

Study the questions and you will be all set.

Best,

P.S. I edited our earlier response, while you were also responding. So, if ya wanna check the updated version....

@Bugg Gee....your AOS experience was a nightmare. Sorry about that. Geez.

Good that you did not need to do an interview for the ROC. Kool.

Hopefully the N-400 interview will be a real breeze for you, like it was for us.

Good luck with that.

Our only snag was at the final interview for the CR-1 in Manila.

Had to do with domicile.

Since my spouse had multiple residences, the IO could not really tell where he was to be considered domiciled for Dept of State purposes.

(Spouse had maintained residences in multiple countries, and run multiple companies. And he had just returned from our NYC place to our Manila place, and missed voting in the election that month because he had not planned to vote absentee. Luckily it got sorted out when he shared an email from the White House asking him to consider a position there. Got the CR-1 visa two days later. Yeah, my hubby roles like that - a Major Dude! Even with that delay, we got the visa in four weeks - would have been in two weeks otherwise, we estimate.)

Online Status Update: Citizenship Oath Ceremony Has Been Scheduled!

Mailed I-751 ROC in Sept, 2018

Was hoping for Feb 13th, but the IO laughed that off.

So, either March 6th or March 10th, we figure.

Preferably March 10th, because the IO said she manages that one and ALWAYS makes it a PARTY!!!!

Can't wait. Go Tampa!

Best to All,

Suze1
