I-751 Filers (September 2018)

Same thing happened to my application too. I filed N400 on the 28 of September, they transferred I-751 to Lee Summit MO on the 2nd of October then sent me a letter for biometrics which I did on the 21st of October . I guess we’re in same scenario.

My I-751 was also sent to NBC day after I submitted N400. I have N400 interview next week. Hopefully they approve I-751 or do combo interview. I was told it should be combo. But one simply never knows what to expect from USCIS 😂

How long did you wait to get N400 interview after submission? It’s over a month I submitted N400,

For me, I applied July 24 and interview was scheduled on September 23, my interview is scheduled for the 12th.

How many days was it from your I751 transfer date to interview? I’m currently at 71 days since my transfer to NBC which happened after filing N400.

mine looks just like this. As for the case completion date it depends on how long the wait time is for your local office. My local office is Seattle so it has a long time and the case completion date is December 2020.

 

BTW if see that you have 2 case transfer notifications. Did they transfer your case to local office and then transferred it again somewhere else because that's what happened to me.

Ugh. Almost 2 months after. My I-751 was transferred on the 25th of July which was a day after I sent N400 online.

We are being processed at the Texas Service Center; we got a notice on October 26th that we had to do fingerprints on the 29th. Fortunately, we were able to make it to the appointment. In May, we had originally received a notice that the prior fingerprints would be used. It feels like there was a policy change or that there is a "shelf life" rule on fingerprints that I am not aware of.

Fingerprints are valid for 15 months, so most everyone who filed for ROC will get a biometrics appointment even if they first got a letter saying it's not needed. 

 

My guess is that there's a ton of crazy people who freak out when they don't receive a biometrics appointment within a few months of filing (we have all seen them in these threads), so to get rid of these people they automatically send out a "biometrics not needed" letter before these people start calling and sending online inquiries taking up a lot of valuable time from USCIS employees.

You can certainly file a form to request it to be corrected for free.  If I were you, I would not bother with the complexity of trying to correct a 1 day discrepancy.  Just make sure you don't apply for citizenship 1 day too early.

Thanks for the great explanation. Our case actually had some sort of update on the 2nd, but when I click through, it just says "My" and there is no other information.

Still radio silence here. Last action was me doing biometrics in July. Yup, I’m a CSC filer.

 

My N-400 (Aug 2019) has recently progressed to “Case Is Being Actively Reviewed By USCIS” so I’m hoping for a transfer soon. Or, they could just approve my I-751 - that’d be fine by me too.

I was made to do two biometrics appointments within 2 months of each other (one for I-751, one for N-400 - both Code 5). Now this might simply be USCIS’ left hand not knowing what its right hand was doing, but that’s what happened.

Same thing happened to us! Also at the Texas service center. I was so glad we were able to make the appointment okay.
