MonicaG,

My message is the same as yours, I filed Oct.4th  Did your message ever change. I see some people received a different message when they checked on their USCIS account I believe some peoples said that they would get a letter in the next 30 days if not call them. When I call and enter my case number I get a message that they don't recognize my case # mine is a LIN #

(We received your case

You do not need to do anything at this time

We will let you know if we need anything else from you as we continue to review your case)

Hi,

My account still saying the same message, that i do not need to do anything at this time. My case was received and accepted on Sept 21st, when i called they told me everything is good and that it can takes up to 30 days to received NOA1 in the mail. My case starts for SRC which means that Texas will process it and I also have read that it can take up to 60 days. My GC doesn't expired until Dec 14th so i hope by then i will have the NOA on hand.

Since your case is processed in Nebraska i don't know about the timeline but if you filed on Oct 4th be patient.. it can take some weeks to have news.

Hi my case was received on the 20th September been over two weeks my receipt number that I received in a text message from USCIS still gives an error on the status page. Anyone else with the same situation?

Same situation here. Clearly they are super delayed... I already have on mind the NOA1 will take between 30-60 days to arrive to the mail for SRC receipt processes.

Thanks for the response, I agree with having patience.... I was not familiar with that message as my other case with them has a different message saying I-797 will be sent and if not received in 30 days to call and wanted to be sure that others received the same one . Again thank you....

I give up on updating that thing. I have added my name several times to the very most recent version, and somehow someone always manages to copy the wrong one. I imagine there are others as well.

My stuff got deleted too lol....I mean the base stuff is there but I had made substantial changes to the template to reflect other people's updates and of course, the changes with the service centers to show prior to lockbox files and lockbox filers.

Either way, hubby has his biometrics appointment today so one last thing on the checklist to worry about.

Why did the Nebraska filers get dropped off of this?

Marriage/ AOS Timeline:

23 Dec 2015: Legal marriage

23 Jan 2016: Wedding!

23 Jan 2016: "Blizzard of the Century", wedding canceled/rescheduled (thank goodness we were legally married first or we'd have had a big problem!) :sleepy:

24 Jan 2016: Small "civil ceremony" with friends and family who were snowed in with us. December was a bit of a secret and people had traveled internationally and knew we *had* to get married that weekend, and our December legal marriage was nothing but signing a piece of paper at our priest's kitchen table, without any sort of vows etc so this was actually a very special (if not legally significant) day. 16 Apr 2016: Filed for AOS and EAD/AP (We delayed a bit-- no big rush, enjoying the USCIS break)

23 Apr 2016: Wedding! Finally! :luv:

27 Apr 2016: Electronic NOA1 for all 3 :dancing:
29 Apr 2016: NOA1 Hardcopy for all 3
29 Jul 2016: Online service request for late EAD (Day 104)
29 Jul 2016: EAD/AP Approved ~3 hours after online service request
04 Aug 2016: RFE for Green Card (requested medicals/ vaccination record. They already have it). :ranting:
05 Aug 2016: EAD/AP Combo Card arrived! (Day 111)

@Pennycat Someone can join a new job with a clean SS Card and unexpired DL isn't it?

Yes.

Here is the list of acceptable documents with the I-9 (the employment eligibility form. Everyone fills one of these out for every new non-independent contractor job). Note that there is NOT anything about an extension letter on there. So while you will more than likely be able to explain to a new employer about the expired green card and extension letter, you are WAY better off with a driver's licence and clean SS card.

See here. You can choose to give ONE from column A. Or combo of one from column B and one from column C.

it's so frustrating😣. I called the uscis customer service if I can get help on making an info pass appointment in san francisco or sacramento office as the website wouldn't let me. But i was told the same thing the first time I called. Wait until october 27. The lady couldnt answer my question. she keeps telling me to wait until the 27😭. I asked her if she can help me make an appointment or is it possible to make an appointment and she told me to try it on the website. I just hung up😣

Unfortunately USCIS's main number can't really schedule appointments at local offices for you because it's on a separate system.

I will say that I've noticed that my local offices do not have any appointments available and it's been that way for the past four months.  If you notice a pattern I'd recommend going to the local office and ask to schedule an appointment directly with them.  It's unlikely they'll see you then and there but it bypasses the infopass system.  Local offices don't publicize their phone numbers either so you can't call to make an appointment unfortunately either.

YES, its directing me to the message center whenever i try to make an appointment. I”ll just go to the office and see what they can do for me
