Hi asking a bit ahead of time, expecting my noa2 soon. What documents can i apply for/prepare ahead of time?

Thanks!

Hi. I’ve outlined it below.

Petitioner documents

1. I-864 or I-864EZ

2. Previous year Tax transcript

3. Previous year W-2

4. Paystub

5. Birth Certificate/Passport

6. Divorce Decree (if applicable)

Beneficiary

1. Passport biographic page

2. Scanned passport picture (2x2)

3. Birth Certificate

4. Marriage Certificate

5. Divorce Decree (if applicable)

6. police Certificate

Once you receive approval on petition, start calling NVC to get the date they receive petition.  After you get that date, you will be issued a case number about 1 month later. Login, pay your fees and then it takes about 3-5 business days to clear payment. Once cleared, you complete your DS-260 application. Proof it before submitting. Once you submit this, only NVC and embassy can make changes to it. Once this is complete, you can start uploading your documents. Submit them all at once. Make sure copies are all vertical and eligible. The documents required to upload will be listed. The W2 was not listed but Recently I’ve seen NVC requesting them after the fact.

Hope this helps!

Hello everyone!

I have a question concerning ds 260 VISA APPLICATION. Can the petitionner fill out and electronically sign the application on behalf of the applicant (wife)?

Thanks

Yes. This is how we did it.

Police certificate?  Like a thing saying you don't have a record?

Yes, if you go to travel.state.gov find your country embassy and it will tell you how to obtain a police certificate.

We’ve been waiting for 6 weeks now since submitting documents...so everyone’s different. No one can figure out how they do it...

Thanks for the answer.

Did NVC sent you the interview letter by mail or email?

Thanks,

It was via email, make sure your email address is correct since i think thats the only way they communicate other than logging on or going to the status request.
