Hi yes. We had out I-130 approved on March 25th and it was sent to the state dept. For processing. Our application date was August 20th 2018.

Congrats! Has your status on website changed from “i130 is approved” to “case was sent to the department state of visa center”? Thanks!

Yeah I saw that too... I hope this is not for real..

Also I am wondering: does it really go faster filing as a permanent resident?? I thought it goes faster if the petitioner is a citizen... I am so confused lol

A long time ago I asked the same question. The only reason a permanent resident petitioner filer would get approved is because their spousal visa is not considered priority through NVC. They have to wait much much longer in the NVC process for their PD. As a USC, Our visas as they receive, we don’t have to wait. So if a permanent resident gets approved 1 month before you vía USCIS, you will be at the embassy doing an interview and they will most likely still be stuck at NVC

Yes imagine being skipped for a petition that can't move forward. An artificial roadblock to delay legal immigration. That's the outrage.

01/29/2019 - Received by Phoenix Lockbox

Theres more to what he’s was saying. The reason for the PR delay at NVC is that there is a limited amount of visas given to PR whereas USC has unlimited visa. If you would want to read about it some more click on the link I provided below.

I downloaded the app from the apple store. My priority date is fro Texas at August 10.

So I entered the SRC receipt number, from people way before my case. I stopped around July 15th.

Vast majority of people cases are not approved. I got my hopes up because people on this forum said they were looking at August cases.

From my understanding most people in June/July in Texas are getting their case reviewed. And it looks like only 3 or 4 case gets approved per day.

So for August people, most people should be hearing from them at the around May, I think.

Hi Guys!!!!! U cant imagine how happy I am)))) my case just been approved. I did not receive any letter yet, but case tracker and uscis website says that it was approved!

8/22/2018 - case was received.

Ive been so nervous and depresses over this long process. I have not seen my husband for more than a year. During this time our girl was born. He has not seen him yet. Thank God, we are near to end. May all of your cases get approved too, so u can finally be with your loved ones. I will let you know, if anything.

Congratulations!! Delighted for you.

Thank you so much!!!! It was soo unexpected to receive the approval. I mean, many people here said that their cases were not updated on the case tracker or online, so i did not pay that much attention on the app.

Many July cases were sent to the department state of visa center. I noticed those cases will not appear in i130 categories. You can click “all”, and you will see. But yes, there are some July cases remains pending.

Hi Peeps

I have finally got the RFE. What they are asking for is a divorce decree signed by a judge or magistrate or recorded. Submit evidence that the divorce decree is final and was recorded in the appropriate civil registrar. I am a British citizen and sent them a copy of my decree absolute. Decree absolute does not in itself have a judge signature but it does confirm that the marriage is dissolved. I am a little confused as to what they might need. Thoughts?

Hi!! Well well...I got the same exact RFE. My husbands divorce decree in Argentina. The one I sent originally was the same exact thing you sent. Which in itself is valid because we would have not been able to get married there if we didn’t have that. He went and requested and its in Spanish so I don’t understand much of what it says (too many legal words). This one unlike the one we originally sent, is signed by the judge. It’s with our translator right now and we will send off on Monday. Mine didn’t day submit evidence that it was recorded in the civil registrar? I wonder if because the one we sent them was from the civil registrar? Who knows. Did you already have the decree or do you have t request?

Ah I see, thank you. I will phone the court tomorrow to arrange for an extract again. The one I sent was the original decree absolute that I had received from the courts to confirm my divorce 🤔 I'll see maybe they'll give me some cover letter or signature like with yours. Fingers crossed yours will be all OK once you get it translated!  🤞

The one thing you should try and get is something with the judges signature that finalized the divorce. There is nothing more convincing than a decree with that signature. Thank you and good luck to you as well 🤞🏼
