I really think the service center is based on your location and not on the work load. Looks like the majority of the west are sent to the Texas Service Center and majority of the east are sent to Nebraska. As for Potomac all the low population states are sent here. If you look at the processing off the USCIS website Potomac does nothing but I-130 form petition unlike the other service centers.

I don’t think that’s true. I live in Washington DC (east coast) and I’m TSC

Yeah, it’s certainly not based on location. There are way too many examples that proves that.

Yikes, i wonder if VJ can chart where all the petitions are going to with all the information received from the user base.

I saw that before and there are other sites who posted the same information.

I wish this was true ☹️, Texas resident here but my case is at Nebraska. At this point, I am not even trying to understand how the cases are distributed, because there’s no explanation that makes sense to me right now. Just praying Nebraska speeds up, it’s unfortunate they are taking 10 + months to process a case while Potomac is taking 3 months.

It is is what it is, just need to be patient and in due time 🙏🏾

I saw something similar to this https://www.***removed***/directory/servicecenters.html

But it looks like its not update as California Service Center doesn't take I-130 petitions. Looks like it was consolidated to the Texas Service Center.

We should start sending letters to our Senators, Nebraska Filers. These senators can maybe help us out. It's so ridiculous to see that Nebraska is stuck while other centers are fast moving.  It's just so unacceptable.

I agree but I don’t think it will make much of a difference at this point. I am almost certain it’s been done already. It’s unfortunate to say, but I think our senators have no control over this. Maybe sending letters to the director of USCIS would catch some attention, who knows. But I do know that the the Association of Lawyers has submitted letters to congress regarding the processing wait times. Calling it a “crisis.” And that was some time ago and obviously, even then, nothing has changed. 😒

Hi! I’m Nebraska also. I often check the processing time on the uscis website yesterday they’re processing June 21 already but today when I check it it moved back to April. Is this really accurate? My pd is August 7 and it’s getting longer now.

Yeah I saw that too... I hope this is not for real..

Also I am wondering: does it really go faster filing as a permanent resident?? I thought it goes faster if the petitioner is a citizen... I am so confused lol

Looking at the dates.

I feel bad for the people who are applying now. I am waiting for Texas Service, Priority Date August 10th.

Hopefully by this month, but for people who are applying now it is terrible.

If anyone in Texas get their i130 approved, please let me know. I get more confidence that cases are getting moved.

Filed in September 2018 but couldn't find the post for that one.. In Texas: case sent to Nebraska center

I was just wondering what the USCIS case status search says for everyone else? Mine says "My case was received" then tells me to follow instructions on receipt but I saw none.. A little worried I missed something? I get so anxious everytime I check the status..

Same here. Just make sure your personal information on your receipt is correct. They will notify you if they need anything from you.

The priority date to call for Texas shifted?

My priority date is August 10.

As of Yesterday, the priority date to call for inquiry was July 17. This shifted to June 10.

I guess this is more bad news to recent filer than me. But it's not good for anyone.

Anyone w Texas Service center getting lucky?
