To the people who get approval or RFE.

Or other people who are following this.

How accurate is the Uscis update? Do you get notices immediately?

From what I have seen ppl sharing, uscis website doesn't update immediately.

Often times petitioners get approvals by mail while the website still remains being received.

So make sure you check the US spouse's mailbox frequently when it's about time.

Hi guys!! Just to give you an update. Our petition was approved for i-130 on the 19th. We got the notification via post today!! My application date was August 20th 2018. Hang in there! Seems they are chugging along at the Texas Service Centre. The letter said the file has been sent to State dept. And that I (petitioner) shall be contacted soon.

Congratulations!! Great news. I see that your consulate is Islamabad. Can I ask what did you send in terms of marriage certificate? I got married in Pakistan too and I sent an official English translation of the nikkah nama and the NADRA Marriage Registration Certificate. We didn't send the Urdu nikkah nama cause we thought it might be pointless since it's all in Urdu, but I'm concerned that we might get an RFE for it.

Should I start freaking out because people ahead of me are getting approved? 🤔

I think we sent the official nadra one, the urdu the English translation, not sure will reconfirm with the wife. We front loaded our application alot. Like 100+ pages of stuff. Was pretty heavy when we sent it in.

I think your best bet is to post your question in the NVC forum. They always have post about taxes. We aren’t there yet...
