Which is the correct app? I’m going to visit my husband for a month and I won’t be able to check my mailbox. These are the 2 apps I have on my phone. Is this ok to check my case status and recieve my notifications?

I use both of these. My husband (the USC) has also signed up for informed delivery with USPS and I check that every day as well so I can see if anything is arriving in the mail.

I am not a lawyer and nothing I say is or should be taken as legal advice.

Hey guys,

If i go to US on visit visa, will it have an effect on my I 130 process?

No, it won't. But it's really hard to get a visit visa if you already have an I-130 in process. My B2 was denied for the same reason.

If you already have a tourist visa( or ESTA), it’s ok to visit your us spouse.

Just make sure you show proof of strong ties with your native country and be 100% honest.  I just visited my husband in Feb while i130 is pending.

But if you are applying for a new tourist visa, it would be a problem.

I found this forum on google. I have an August 10 Priority date. But my uscis says August 15.

Service Center is Texas.

No update as of now. Can someone summarize and let me know how August is going? Is it our turn yet?

Hi, welcome! My case is exactly like yours. 10th August PD but says 15th on the new website.

Texas has just started to process August cases and I expect to hear something in the next couple of weeks or so. But who can really say!

As you're new, be sure to fill in your timeline here on VJ and update us when there's movement on your case. Good luck!
