Hi Shanika, just wanted to know if you've heard whether the NVC have reviewed your case. We emailed last week and they said no still. We received our approval on the 31st dec

Yes, I called them yesterday and they said they received my case on 1/22/19. I was approved on 1/5/2019. Case sent to NVC on January 11th, 2019. I called at 10:30p EST and waited on the phone about an hour.

I know. It’s very sad. And it just makes us feel helpless. NSC needs to really start catching up. Just stay hopeful and never lose faith.

Seems like Nebraska has the most applicants. A lot of cases get routed to that center.

Oh that's great news 👍😀😀. They told us to contact after six weeks to confirm is case has been received. Hopefully we'll get an update soon.

Thank you. Try to call them on Friday by 10:30p EST. You will be on hold for approximately an hour.

Okay. Can the beneficiary call instead of the petitioner? Or does the petitioner always have to make contact?

Either one can contact NVC. Prepare to stay on the phone for 45mins to an hour though. NVC is so behind. It is taking 7-8 weeks just to get a case number.

Is there ever a time any of these agencies aren’t behind anymore? I mean come on, we have to wait so long just for the petition and then you move to step 2 just for another long wait. I lived in Argentina for 10 months and was surprised how long it takes to get something from a government office. But in all reality, we aren’t Any better anymore. It’s become pretty bad.

It really is bad. All the offices are behind. We spend so many months at USCIS, then again at NVC....SMH With all this technology we should have a better system. Why couldn’t we send everything to USCIS? Why 3 steps? SMH

*Sigh patience is a virtue. I'm aware that it's taking that long just to get a case number 😔. My case hasn't been sent to NVC and it's been 4 weeks, so not really surprised. There will come a day when all of this will be over lol.... can't wait.

For those still waiting for an approval, wishing you all the best! Hang in there, we'll get through it!😊😊😊

Yeah, such a delay. Our time will come. NVC probably has your case. Some of the representatives do not give accurate information. I would try calling again.

I don’t understand why processing times for US Citizen petitioning for Spouse is longer than permanent resident?? You would think it would be the other way around. 🤯

It was initially showing that the Texas Center processing chart was 7th June n now I checked it's on May. Disappointed

I'm not surprised. There have been a lot of people recently with PD dates that have exceeded the date listed on the USCIS website. That being said, we're at TSC and this sucks 😕
