Hi Shanika,

I am the beneficiary, my husband is the petitioner. For the DS-260 I am assuming I have to fill them out?

Will do. I really hope it is soon. I see filers from April waiting on an approval. They got an RFE though. If online says we last took action on your case.....Seems like they have all been RFE. I requested an expedite through my congressman when I first submitted my application. I heard that can push your file back if you get denied the expedite 😩😩😢😢! I hope not. I’m just making sure I’m NVC ready. I had my husband get some vaccine boosters and his police certificate.

When do they usually send out RFE’s?

Thank you

Usually when they review your file. So if Potomac is Reviewing my file now because they are on August filers and they see I haven’t completed something, or they want more information they will send an RFE. It seems like you will see a status change online that they have reviewed your file or are reviewing your file. If I see that status I would call USCIS. 9 times out of 10 it’s an RFE. Seems like Potomac is mainly mailing out the approvals now.

Thank you. When you say in my status change, you’re talking about on the uscis login right?

Okay, I check that so many times a day, it’s basically an obsession at this point. ☹️

Thank you and as always, fingers crossed 🤞🏼

Hi everyone! Newbie here. My NOA 1 date was July 31, so I guess it’s fitting that I post here as an August filer, since I’m right on the cusp. Sorry if I’m mistaken. NOA 2 was December 19–Potomac.

I also wanted to add that the old USCIS site finally updated about 1 week later, but the new site still only says application was received. I found out about our approval via the physical letter in the mail.

Your birth certificate should show proof that he is your father, so the rental income will be fine.

Thanks so much :)
