Mexican police certificate - how to obtain it

Hello,

My wife and I are currently going through the NVC process. My wife is Nicaraguan; she was born and raised, and has lived here for most of her life. That said, we need to submit her police certificate from Nicaragua. However, my wife did a part of her medical residency in Mexico over six years ago, which lasted 2 years. According to the the NVC's web page, under police certificates, one of the criteria requiring a police certificate is "IF YOU have ever lived in another country for 12 months or more AND you were 16 years or older at the time you lived there, THEN submit a police certificate from the country you used to live." Which would apply to her residency in Mexico City.

That being the case, could somebody please indicate how she could obtain this Mexican police certificate, without being in Mexico city?

Thanks

Is she currently in Nicaragua?

If yes, you can usually contact the Mexican embassy or consulate in that country and they should be able to help you or at least point you in the right direction.

In Mexico is called "Certificado de No Antecedentes Penales".

Here is the webpage and contact information for Nicaragua:

Usually this is an in person process. I have seen some people say they get it in Juarez arriving a day or two in advanced. I have seen several YouTube Videos where people explain how to get it.  I would also check there and see how they did it
