L1 A blanket extension for L1 A individual

I have L1 A Individual visa which is till Nov-18.My employer is working on renewal. But the renewal is on L1 A Blanket. I expected it to be individual petition renewal, but understood later from my employer that it is blanket petition renewal and that is the standard process in which blanket petition renewal will be initiated in case there is no blanket visa denial before and chances of blanket petition renewal approval is higher than individual petition renewal.

Can you please let me know if this is the case and will it have any impact on the approval chances.
