Dear all,

My fiance sent 129 form and documents to resister to K-1  Visa but we can't receive NOA1 from USCIS, we are waiting over 3month!!!

He called USCIS but their answer is only 'please wait'.

He tracked and confirmed that our request form arrived to USCIS safety and K-1 resister fee is already charged to USCIS.

How can I do to confirm whether our I-129F has been approved and get the NOA1 No.?

Thank you for your kindly suggestion.

The NOA1 is not an approval. It is just basically a letter saying that "hey, we've got your application we're working on it. The I-129F will take many more months. USCIS is pretty swamped at the moment and that is probably why you are still waiting for your first Notice of Action.

Your form (not your k1 visa. K1 visa is approved or denied by the embassy itself) will take at least 7 months to be approved. Then you can add about 2 -3 months for the NVC and embassy process.

Try calling USCIS again and ask for tier 2 officer.

K1

29.11.2013 - NoA1

06.02.2014 - NoA2

01.04.2014 - Interview.

AoS

03.2015 - AoS started.

09.2015 - Green Card received.

RoC

24.07.2017 - NoA1.

01.08.2018 - RoC approved.

Hi all,

I wanted to receive the NOA-1 letter it means 'we've got your application we're working on it' from USCIS.

I heard that we can receive the case number to track our K-1 Visa process status.

Normally requester receive the NOA1 letter within 7-14days after we sent theI-129F but I don't receive yet...

Also we called USCIS but they can't see that our application received safety and started the process.

Is it normal???? How can we check whether our I-129F arrived and started our process?

Hi,

If you have already called multiple times and they told you to wait each time.  I am afraid your only option is to wait.  Unnecessary repeated calls can potentially delay it.

Thank you so much, everyone!

No, you cannot track your case with noa1. You can only track your case after getting a case number with the arrival of NOA2.

Thank you so much, everyone!

Case number comes with NOA1.

You will get two separate numbers throughout.  The main case number you want to focus on is the case number after your NOA2.

Thank you so much, everyone!

OP wants the case number for the I-129F so she can track it. This would be NOA1. OP doesn't have to worry about the other case number from NVC in many more months. And no, you don't want to mainly focus on the one from NVC. They're both equally important. In the beginning, it's for keeping an eye out and be prepared for possible RFE. Then during NVC, you want to know when it has arrived at the embassy.

If he was able to confirm it arrived, should they not be able to tell you your receipt (WAC) number? Ask him explicitly for it, with it you should be able to check status online.

That won't happens for months and months after, and that is not Thread Owner question, so I am not sure why are you talking about it. They want to know their USCIS receipt number (usually starts with WAC###########) That normally e-mailed texted to you, and then you get paper receipt form I-797C that gives it to you in print.

Just wanted to add the 3 letters in the begging of the USCIS case number is different for each service center.

If the fee was charged (or check cashed) then at least you know they have it there just backlogged with getting you the confirmation.

Hopefully you hear something soon!   This part of your wait is only the beginning...hang in there!

There's a difference between a receipt number and a case number. OP wants the receipt number.

K-1: 12-22-2015 - 09-07-2016

AP: 12-20-2016 - 04-07-2017

EAD: 01-18-2017 - 05-30-2017

AOS: 12-20-2016 - 07-26-2017

ROC: 04-22-2019 - 04-22-2020
Naturalization: 05-01-2020 - 03-16-2021

U.S. passport: 03-30-2021 - 05-08-2021
