Is Tinder Considered IMB?

Upon filling out the I-129F packet... i did research to see if tinder was an International Marriage Broker. Most of the forums said it was not a marriage broker because brokers/broker websites charge U.S citizens to find a spouse overseas for the specific intent to marry. I put in my "how we met" declaration that we met using Tinder. I did explain that we continued to talk on whatsapp for two months leading to our first meeting. But I DID NOT include tinders "terms of service" in my I-129F packet. Will I get an RFE? I figured that Tinder has been out so long and so popular that USCIS would know its not an IMB. The terms of service specifically say its not an IMB. So I just didnt send them. Id appreciate anyones help. Thanks!

Tinder is not an IMB.

You may or may not get an RFE to provide evidence that Tinder is not an IMB (i.e. the TOS). It's up to the IO.

I got an RFE for meeting through OK Cupid, which is also one of the "big 3" US dating services, which I thought they would recognize, but they needed the documentation for their file anyway.

I wish the USCIS had way more clear and concise instructions. Its confusing. Thanks for the help

My husband and I met on Tinder. We never got an RFE about it :) (we originally did K1 visa)

Did u provide tinders "terms of service" and state it in the "how we met" portion of the 129F? Because ive been reading that even if stated u met on tinder, okcupid etc.. that they need the "terms of service" for the USCIS file.

Nope. I literally wrote on how we met that we met through Tinder. It was asked once at the interview but we had no trouble. But it's not an issue to include the TOS either!

Well, i already filed and mailed the I-129F packet last week lol so that is why im asking. I am reading all these forums with some people saying to send the TOS, and others saying they didn't send the TOS and were approved? So im just wondering what to expect.

As noted above, it really depends on the IO you get if they want to see the TOS or not. Some tend to be pickier than others.

I was fortunate to only have 2 days between RFE resposne acknowledged and NOA2. The RFE itself took a week to arrive and a week to have it acknowledged.
