Right? Major facepalming happened here when we got out the paperwork and saw that.

I got my beneficiary hard copy NVC letter...after I got my passport back from embassy with the visa...

I don’t know why but it was mailed all the way to japan..

so yeah I’d expect anything...

I always had a thing for September :D

There is no way I'm getting my NOA1 by tomorrow, so let me start September AOS thread beforehand!

And remember it is always a good idea to just send EAD and AP together with the timelines getting longer. You never know what you'll need and it is free!

Good luck to all!

@Naes I just send my AOS yesterday! So glad I got  to be with you in the same thread again since we were in the same October thread!  💃

Edited by Mara Liceth

I love you because the entire universe conspired to help me find you ❤️

So I got a letter in the mail today from USCIS.. instantly got excited thinking it might be my NOA1.. unfortunately not.

It was a rejection notice for my I-765, Application for Employment Authorization. Strangely it gives different reasons. The first reason being "The application filed was an outdated version of this form". The second reason being "The application has not been fully completed. One or more fields were not completed - Reason for Applying - Family Name"

Also enclosed was the form I sent with the first page missing (where reason for filing and family name information was) and a big orange page saying MISSING PAGE on it in it's place. It is 100% the correct up to date form. Which is leading me to believe they lost the first page of my form...

There are instructions on how to resubmit and since I got an Notice of Acceptance email the other day so I presume the rest of my packet has been accepted. I just really hope this doesn't cause much delay to my application 😓

So from what understand, you got 2 (I485 and I131) accepted and you have the noa1, and one rejected I765. Did you get an email for I765?

Normally these numbers come in an order, so : for example I485 MSC1891xxxx12, then the rest is ending in 13 and 14. can you check the status online just in case to see what it says. so you can know which were accepted for sure.

It is possible that they lost the page too, as I did hear this "one page missing RFE" before for AOS. Just resend it - however be careful - for it to be counted as a concurrent application you may need to add a copy of NOA1 from I485 (I'm not sure about the requirement exactly but I'm sure you will need NOA1 or at least the case receipt number)

Question:

So my cases on USCIS (new site) looks a little weird

I-131 :  is normal, case was received and there is a submitted date etc.

I-485 and I-765 : just says We received your case. with no submitted date or anything.

How does it look for you guys?

Yes I've got I485 and I131 accepted as notified by email but I didn't get my NOA1 in the mail yet.

I didn't get any email about the I765 there's a receipt number on the notice I got today. When I check this number online it says Case Was Rejected Because It Was Improperly Filed ...Please follow the instructions to resubmit your case.... no more clarifying info.

I think I will send form again with all accompanying evidence and put a note on front with the receipt numbers of my I485 and I131.

Yeah then it’s clear that this is the only one with the problem. Try checking uscis website about concurrent filing, cause I really think it would need noa1 from I-485 to waive the fees.

@streanor

yes it is required. Check I-765 instructions page 23 under c(9) about if you’re filing it separately from I-485 because I don’t want yours to get rejected again for something simple :)

Thank you SO MUCH Naes! I was wrecking my head trying to find that info. I'll have to wait for the I-485, hope it comes soon!

Sent our file on Sep 7 and cash was cashed on the 12th, still waiting for the NOA1 but I think it's gonna be sent to my attorney first so I'm probably gonna have to wait a few extra days to get my notices.

Does USCIS automatically texts you when they receive the application or do you need to explicitly authorize them to do so?
