Anyone still waiting? We haven’t received anything(EAD, Travel document, or green card) since we submitted our application on September 7. Called DHS and requested service and today is the 30 days mark for the service request response. We don’t have any RFEs according to the officer on the phone so we are just exhausted now. I don’t know what else to do.

Hey guys.

Yesterday we had our interview, in Tampa, FL. All was good, a bit long time waiting. Officer was very nice, even if she were trying to show herself very serious :)

most of the questions was from application, yes or no and basic information about both of us. Then she asked my husband (petitioner) directly how did we meet. How long we have been together. Where he is working. Where im working. Then ive asked her to see our story book :) cause ive made it for embassy, no one looked, then new for uscis, and no one been asked me :) so i asked her to see :) she like it and even did a copy of one of the pages. In total interview was very smooth, in friendly athmosphere. She didnt say anything about approval, she just said the we gonna receive something in the mail withing 30-60 days.

and today in the morning ive got a status update message, even on the web page it was showing nothing (at all, just MY..), ive decided to check automatically through the phone, and it says that new card has been ordered .

hope you guys getting your interviews already.

Hi everyone, I have my interview scheduled for next month, but I am trying to figure out if I need to do another medical exam. I entered the USA with a k1 visa (I had my medical exam in May 2018 in Italy). I have submitted my i485 in September 2018.

So the question is my medical exam still valid or I need to get a new one.

Any help is appreciated.

Hey,

your medical you have done back home is enough, I have had interview past week, and I just brought the copy of DS-3025 Form that I got back home -  officer didn`t even look at it :)

Congrats on the green card! If I may ask, do you know why it took so long to get your interview? I've seen a number of folks in Tampa get their AOS interviews after only 2-4 months of waiting. Thanks in advance for any insight you might be able to provide.

Thank you.

I guess because when we applyed, we were in Miami, then we moved to Fort Myers, and as Fort Myers office is overloaded (as officer said) they transfered our case to Tampa. Even when ive changed my adress with USCIS they sent appointment letter to Miami, dont know why. Thanks god ive changed my adress with usps as well, so all mail that goes to miami transfering here.

We got to USCIS office in Irving, TX 30 minutes before appointment. By the time we went through security, and checked in it was interview time. The place was packed, but the office seemed organized. 30 minutes later we got called in by the officer.

She took us inside, and checked paper work. she then asked if we have any updated documents/joint assets we want to share. (I offered the latest IRS return, and couple of bills).

Officer then started asking how we met, and other I-485 questions (Are you a spy? Illegal gambling etc...)

The whole thing lasted about 10 minutes, and afterwards Officer said Congrats Y'all should expect the 2 Year Card within 4-8 weeks. When I asked if we can get a temporary Green Card Stamp in Passport, the officer said that we need to have urgent circumstances for that, and ask for an Info Pass.

Overall a Positive Experience, and a very professional Officer.

Good Luck Y'all :)

Hi, it's been a while since I've been on this thread as I have been patiently waiting for my interview. A date has finally been scheduled and is in 2 weeks in Houston, TX. I'm a little nervous and am in the process of checking all the documents needed. If anyone has a list of what they took, that would be a great help.

Good luck to anyone who is still waiting x

We took originals of our marriage certificate,  my SSN, my  work authorisation and our passports along with  a few photo's from our wedding, thanks giving and Christmas, a few letters and cards with the envelopes The interviewer did his own copies although we had some for him but the interviewer really wasn't interested I sort of made him take the photo's since we spent quite a while putting the file together, I was a little put out that he didn't say yes there and then but hinted that we were approved but would ask us for any more info after he looked the paper work if he needed any, the next day we got notification that a new card was being issued and a few days later it arrived. the best thing to do is try to find out on the VJ site what people have taken to the office you are going too since every office seems to look at different things. we wish you the best of luck. everything should be ok, not easy I know but just try and relax and be yourselves.
