I just put an inquiry about my case as they are processing EAD's received one day after mine.  USCIS will respond by 4/13.  Hope EAD get approved before that.

They take 3 weeks to respond? 😱😱😱😱

If that were in any commercial setting, it would be the worst customer service ever haha.

Hopefully you get your card soon! Did you also try calling to get a real officer speak to you?

No I did not call.  First I want to try this way and then call next week.

Still waiting... tomorrow will be 200 days 😓

2 weeks ago I got a notice in mail that Travel Doc was approved. But no update online on either AP or EAD...

I'm guessing there has been a delay with my EAD because I had to resubmit my EAD application after they lost the first page of the form!! This meant my receive date for AP was Sept 4th and then my new receive date for EAD was Sept 21st...

I had submitted enquires for both but then USCIS went and pushed back their processing times 😑Will be calling when processing time passes the 21st.

I can’t believe they pushed to 200s now and changing the date continuously... 😑

Hello everyone! does anyone here have a problem changing their names on SS card? I went to SS office after I got my Ead and they told me they have to confirm my status on DHS before sending the new card and would take 4weeks.

At this point it's more common to go through manual verification than not to go through it. I went through it twice (when I requested replacement SSN card an when I changed my name), both times I got 'approved' about 3 weeks after they started the manual verification.

Thanks for the reply. What do you mean by manual verification? I went to SS office on the day i got the ead card *which I regret now. It’s been two weeks now

Applied for AOS/EAD/AP : August 7, 2018 (via USPS)

USCIS Chicago received the package: August 9, 2018

Did you get an "approved" receipt from SSA when you applied or did you get a receipt that says "before we can issue you a yada yada we must verify the documents yada yada".

If it's the latter, you are undergoing Manual Verification.

Yeah I did get the Manual Verification, is it a negative sign or means a longer wait before I recieve my new SS card? Is there anything I can do aside from waiting ...

If you are applying after your EAD it just means a little longer. Usually your receipt notice will tell you how long you have to wait before you can call them and enquire (that or they verbally told you and showed you what number to reference in the top right corner). Either way aside from waiting, do not stress.

Thanks a lot , I will try not to ☹️ Mine says 4weeks so let’s see , it’s been 2 weeks now. I already got a job offer but the HR told me SS card should match my name on the ead card.

Hi guys just an FYI we got our interview scheduled, just got an update today in case tracker I have moved to MD from CT 2 months ago and ended up changing our mailing address and now we will be having our interview in Baltimore, I’m glad that we were able to get a quick interview because I have seen people wait for a year or two to get there interview in CT area.

Good morning,

I just got a notification, saying "As of March 25, 2019, we are ready to schedule your Form I-485". We are based in MD... so I am just wondering how long did you wait from "ready" to the actual interview date. Also, if we get the Green Card, I do not need the work permit correct?

Thank you and have a great day!!

Just saw this discrepancy.  NOA for EAD/AP/485 shows receipt date as 9/17/2018.  But USCIS site shows 3 different dates.  For ead it says Oct 9th.  Don't understand why it is different?  Is it like receipt date and data entered date?

We applied in August so it’s been 7 months our case has been ready for interview since October that’s when we had our biometrics done and we got the update that interview was scheduled on the 25th of March! And no once you have green card you don’t need work permit😊
